That reminds me of a stupid joke about getting married. But I only remember the punchline….
It’s okay that I don’t remember the rest, though. Based on the punchline you guys aren’t missing anything.

Is the punchline “That’s no cantaloupe, doctor! That’s my wife!”?
by chilibean_3 on Oct 9, 2009 2:08 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
So then cantaloupe said to the doctor, “That fucking grapefruit bitch. I wouldn’t have eaten her out if I knew she was gonna squirt in my eye.”

Looking back, I would have definitely toned down the “fucking grapefruit bitch” part. I was originally going in a different direction with that, and I didn’t scale it back as much as I should have when I switched gears.

Rooting for the Yankees...
Memories of Juan Benenguer striking out the Tigers’ batters and taunting them have made me hate the Twins forever. The Twins had the worst team in the playoffs that year, but luckily faced an exhausted Tigers team. The Tigers and the Blue Jays had played to a tie over the regular season and were forced into a one game playoff. Meanwhile the Twins were starting guys like Joe Niekro for the last two weeks of the season.

Forgive me if this is way out of line
But why is it that Fox in particular seems to have such a penchant for milking dead pitchers to their fullest capacity?
How about letting the dead rest in peace. Instead, each playoff that involves a team that has lost a player to a tragedy they seem compelled to just keep harping on it.
I recall them milking the Cardinals dead guys for all they were worth as well, and it just strikes me as ghoulish.

The postseason performance by Nathan so far negates the ~13 time advantage in WAR the Twins had in the trade.
Also, you can’t forget how well AJ Pierzynski performed in the postseason for the Giants.

He does have to watch the ball and the player making a play on the ball. If the player touched the ball when it was over foul territory then it is a foul ball even if he drops it and it doesn’t matter where his feet are.
That said, the ball was touched in fair territory and hit in fair territory — a very embarrassingly bad call.
