"I've been seeing the ball a little better, taking the ball the other way and taking my walks," said Crawford. "I'm not swinging at pitches in the dirt and I'm getting into better hitter's counts. And that's generally when I get my hits."

Good to see someone doesn’t like swinging at pitches in the dirt.
Joking aside, good to see him figuring this stuff out in the AFL.

I would say that with seriousness.
I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Sweet
I really want Crawford to succeed. It’d be awesome to have a young, cheap, defensively awesome SS who isn’t a black hole offensively.
Proud father of Juan Carlos Perez. Think Albert Pujols at a position to be determined.

Crawford for hitting coach, please.
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.
This is, like… 8,000,000,000 times better than “The best pitch you see might be the first one!”

I always loved BLB. He would supposedly swing awkwardly at some pitches early in games/at bats so the pitcher would throw the same one again later.

Crawford won’t be playing for the big club anytime soon with that attitude.
"All I know is right now, you comeback and do you dwell on that? I think you're man enough to take it, you're man enough to chew on it, to spit it out and you learn from it. ... I think winners let it go. I think losers dwell on it and talk about it all week and that screws you up for the next opportunity going forward." - Mike Singletary after the 49ers loss to the Vikings
That's all fine and dandy...
but we’ll need to see if he can do that for an entire year. As much as we like to bag on players for being over aggressive, a lot of them know they need to be more selective, it’s just not something that can be turned on like a lightswitch. When he actually starts walking more Pedro Feliz’s career average, I might be willing to drink the Kool-Aid, but right now, it’s just the AZFL and words
