funny but also annoying. THERE ARE STARVING CHILDREN IN AFRICA WHO’D LOVE TO AFFORD A PSP GO, AHOLES.

Well… think of it this way. Digital music has really caught on because it’s so darn portable. You can snap it to your jeans and walk around all day listening to whatever. People have been trying to move their music around with them forever, from the first guitar to the first portable cassette player to the next Nano iteration.

Console gaming isn’t like that. It’s not a portable experience. Like movies (which just “advanced” to a new physical format, rather than even bothering to try digital in any mass way), console gaming is a more or less stationary experience. Your console doesn’t move. Your games don’t move. Your TV doesn’t move. So there’s no real need to go digital. And as long as people have a desire to display a collection of things that they don’t have to walk around with all the time, we’ll probably want physical media to do it with.

Now, handheld gaming on the other hand….

Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

On the other hand, it’s about accessibility, not just portability. Media like movies and TV will turn to a more On Demand type of presence.

The fact that there’s no real way right now to transfer your UMDs to the PSPGo is what’s hurting it. If you could just hook it up to your computer with some kind of special dealy, then it’d be cool.

I like the idea

of having like media stuff in the cloud, so that you don’t have to take up your local disk space to watch videos etc, but I’d still want some sort of hard drive copy so that it’s accessible no matter what.

Plus, the connections would have to not only be everywhere but also fast enough to handle everyone at the same time. So it’s a ways off, but it should be interesting to see how it works out.

With his bad All Star team construction, Foghorn Leghorn really screwed his team since now his team is in the World Series and the Yankees get home field.

"All I know is right now, you comeback and do you dwell on that? I think you're man enough to take it, you're man enough to chew on it, to spit it out and you learn from it. ... I think winners let it go. I think losers dwell on it and talk about it all week and that screws you up for the next opportunity going forward." - Mike Singletary after the 49ers loss to the Vikings

Why is Carlton Chronicles more successful than McCovey Chronicles? Seems like, even with the limited times that it exist, that Carlton Chronicle outscores, out wins and out everything that McCovey Chronicle does in a whole season…

This year I’m going with the Adenharts. Next year they’re the Angels again and they can get back in line behind Russell Martin to suck it.

And they’ll be there a while, because he never gives up his turn.

haha, right on dude, i’m there with ya, the Adenhart thing is a good story for the Angels

I’m leaning Yankees. My hate for the Angels is deeply personal, whereas my hate for the Yankees is general. Sort of like rooting for Pol Pot instead of the man who personally murdered your family.

I’m going for a 7 game series.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Tim Salmon is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch tonight
John Lackey is the actual starting pitcher tonight
Mike Scioscia is a career Dodger
They are the Los Angeles Angels even if they play in another county
Los Angeles can suck it

Therefore I am going Yankees
