I didn’t become a wrestling fan until later in life, so this was my first exposure to Capt. Lou.

RIP
I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

I did too, but more for the cartoons.
I also didn’t realize that was Captain Lou until years later.

What I remember about Capt. Lou was when I started to watch wrestling (I don’t anymore), he was managing Greg Valentine as a heel manager. I remember he turned face when he was hit over the head with one of those gold records by Roddy Piper on some MSG show. This was done because the Capt. was doing a lot of charity work and wanted to be more public about it (heels, at the time, couldn’t be seen doing stuff like that even though a lot did).
"All I know is right now, you comeback and do you dwell on that? I think you're man enough to take it, you're man enough to chew on it, to spit it out and you learn from it. ... I think winners let it go. I think losers dwell on it and talk about it all week and that screws you up for the next opportunity going forward." - Mike Singletary after the 49ers loss to the Vikings

One more thing
There was a Bay Area link to Albano. He managed the Wild Samoans, who were Bay Area residents.
