Open Letter to the Giants

Dear Giants,

Pablo Sandoval led your team in walks this season. Please ponder the significance of that tidbit throughout this offseason.

Sincerely,

This is a good thing! The Giants cheat the game less than any other team in the bigs.

Ryan Klesko from 2007 would be third on the team in walks with 46. Winn is in second with 47.

Goddamn can I not stand Shawon Dunston, Brian Sabean and all those responsible for the club’s current culture of walklessness. I’m looking at you, Bengie Molina. I’M LOOKING AT YOU!

He is pretty.

Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

Dear Grant,

I had never thought about it that way. Holy god that is depressing.

This is horrifying but it is impressive that Pablo outwalked even his most optimistic projection (BB-wise) by 28!

I’m kinda amazed that he’s got a league average BB%.

It’ll be interesting to see if this is his ceiling walks-wise or if he can continue to become even more patient next season. He definitely made a ton of strides this year.

It’s not that surprising considering he’s the only offensive threat in the lineup.

I have been thinking that signing Nick Johnson wouldnt be a bad idea. If they can get a power bat to hit behind him and pablo, maybe, I might also be a horrible rosterbater.
