Lol Dodgers!
According to the Los Angeles Times' official Twitter account, Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his wife, CEO Jamie McCourt, have separated in "a move that could place the future ownership of the team in doubt." Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports notes that a similar situation in the Moores family resulted in the sale of the Padres last spring.

Argh. The next owners might actually have money. That’s the problem.

meh...
I’d rather the Giants get better than the dodgers sucking because of a crappy ownership situation. I thought the whole padres mess was kind of shitty and lame, actually. Same with the A’s and their lame owners.
But, that being said, I guess if it has to happen to somebody, why not the Dodgers?

I don’t know. A marriage falling apart just isn’t all that funny to me.
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

Agreed
Not a very funny moment at all, even if it is the Dodgers.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

If this affects the way the Dodgers spend, Sabean might say “Since Los Angeles isn’t spending money to win the division, why should we?” He might be cheap and spend on the same crap (cheap) since no one in the division is spending money.
"All I know is right now, you comeback and do you dwell on that? I think you're man enough to take it, you're man enough to chew on it, to spit it out and you learn from it. ... I think winners let it go. I think losers dwell on it and talk about it all week and that screws you up for the next opportunity going forward." - Mike Singletary after the 49ers loss to the Vikings

I agree. We may all be rooting against the Dodgers in this year’s playoffs, but if they actually win it all, it might spur Neukom to open his wallet to get this team to their level.
