Do I have to be on drugs to enjoy it?
Because I tried listening to it and it felt like my ear was getting raped by a robot wearing a sandpaper condom.

ouch! that’s fair tho I guess, I was thinking you just wrote it off because of their older really experimental to the point of being non-musical stuff, but If you gave it a listen and hated it, that’s all good, everyone has differing tastes obviously.
For me the old stuff was too “out there”, and I’m a guy who likes experimental sounds, but I’ve really enjoyed their last 2 albums and Panda Bear’s solo stuff, it’s got a cool vibe and is experimental enough for my tastes while still having the sensability to include melody.

oh ya, and if you’ve never seen it, this is an awesome music video they made from their last album. I love how she’s trying to feed him strawberries!

I love musicians who experiment. Maybe these guys have just gone way too overboard for me.

Why thank you
I had been contemplating whether or not to buy this album.

I’m all over the place. Favorite depends on the mood I’m in, which I guess is impressive. Every album is pretty high quality yet “different enough” while still sounding like the same band. The new album definitely seems like the most accessible.
Speaking of: saw them live last week. Great show, but the audience was basically high schoolers/college kids. I felt old.
