Vizquel signs with Rangers
Gets a minor league deal, with invite to Spring Training. I'm glad for Omar, hopefully he can put together a respectable season offensively so he can retire on a good note.

Hmm..
I’m disappointed he couldn’t get a major league deal somewhere, although it sounds like he’ll end up making the team unless he really stinks up Spring Training, and perhaps the Rangers were offering him this option instead of a major league minimum Major League contract from someone else.
Best of luck to him, perhaps if I make it down to ST I can see him around.

There were also some interest from the Padres and Dodgers. I think he would of been the only Dodger player ever to be cheered in SF.
If he does make the team, the Rangers do play at ATT Park June 19-21.
A McC newcomer but not outstanding.
