Groug probably wants to change his vote now.

I offer bribes for Perdomo votes.

If God had intended us not to rosterbate, he would've made our arms shorter.

I keep voting for Quirarte. I don’t know why.

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

I do, too. He strikes me as exactly the kind of low-ceiling, polished, intelligent college pitcher whom the Giants turn into a serviceable reliever.

I predict he’ll have a positive impact in his 1st camp this spring.

They say some players get out of bed hitting; Pablo Sandoval doesn't wait that long

Kudos

Nice shout out from Baggs. Keep up the good work.

I ran out of beliefs at #6, opinions at #12, and with #25 I’m even out of faint prejudices.

I can’t even really tell the relievers apart.

We don't really have that much pitching depth. We don't really have that much pitching depth. FOR GOD SAKE, VERUCA, DON'T GO FAKE TRADING JONATHAN SANCHEZ. We don't really have that much pitching depth

by oldjacket on Jan 1, 2009 7:14 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Hector Sanchez

That’s why you ignore relievers after #15 or so. A vote for Hector Sanchez is a vote for change. Can the Giants develop a young switch-hitting catcher with power and good defense? “YES WE CAN.”

jponry and I are clearly cancelling each other’s vote out. She’s the irrational one. My OCD has nothing to do with my continued voting for Hector.

Sergio Romo: striking out professional hitters since 2005.

And Remember

A vote for Hector would mean so much – a welcome to the US as he arrives this spring to AZ for the first time.

Hector Sanchez: really getting tired of playing baseball in foreign countries...

(I’m really reaching on this pun)

by Natto on Jan 1, 2009 9:25 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

I’d say it’s more of a stretch to get to Matos.

all these guys have problems, I’m voting Quirarte also.
there’s 26 letters in English and 25 players on a team. We should have a Q. In 40 innings for SalemKeizer, had 33Ks and 9 walks, and 14 saves. Always need another closer candidate. Just turned 22 a week ago. Had 3 losses too, full disclosure.
Matos—they are hitting 372 off him in Ariz Fall league. and he’s 24. I don’t trip over Matos.
Hector Sanchez—never hit on the mainland USA, he’s a potential prospect now.
Perdomo—he was 24 in Spring and finally made AA last year.
McBryde—mediocre hitter last yr in San Jose, near the bottom in slugging. And he will be a 24 yr old for AA if promoted.

Love my Giants ........

Know the farm is improving and getting better grades however only four of the Top 25 have any significant experience at the very important level of AA or above.

by wilriv21 on Jan 2, 2009 3:19 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Wow!

I realize it’s just the Dominican Summer League, but I am highly impressed that as a 17-year-old and 18-year-old, Hector Sanchez has over two seasons walked more (55 times) than he has struck out (44 times), has a combined .900+ OPS and is a switch-hitting CATCHER.

Who can fill me in with more info?
