CC and the Fodgers

CC is coming to the west coast and wants to play here.  Would it be worth it to sign him just to keep him from any other team in the West?  Trading Sanchy or Cainer(he sucks) could get a nice bat in return, so would it be logical to block especially the Fodgers or Slippery Snakes from getting him?  Cainer could get somebody like Fielder back(tho I like El Toro switching between 1B and 3B and Catching.  Sanchez could get someone like Hardy back which would fill a hole as well. Whaddya think?

I have this cranberry mustard that is really freaking good. The tart flavors of the berries and the mustard work so well together. I use it to make a mustard pan sauce for chicken that’s om nom nom.

The real trick is this:

1) Figure out your hit to miss rate on jokes. For example, mine is somewhere around 20%.
2) Figure out how many jokes a day you want to be hits. For example, I try to go for 10-15 in a given day.
3) Based on those figures, figure out how many jokes you have to tell to reach your quota. For example, I generally have to make 50-75 jokes in a given day to get 10-15 decent ones.

Follow these three patented steps, and you’re sure to be recognized as a comic genius in no time.

The angels have been rumoured to be interested, and there has been some

limited talk on HH about him. But the Tex trade really changed the perspective. Tex+CC+Frankie+Lackey extension would clearly be a financial imposibillity. Thats a possible 35 Million or so extra dollars on the salary right there. Arte Moreno has said that the angels would not increase payroll to yankee-redsox levels. Although i think the angels will negotiate, CC will most likely nor wind up on the angels this offseason

Maybe I haven’t kept up with the trade because, well, it’s the D-Backs and I don’t care…but wasn’t Owings rumored to be one of the PTBNL in the Dunn deal? Has the trade been consummated yet and he wasn’t involved?

And Johnson has to retire at some point. He turns 45 tomorrow.

CC/Webb/Haren would be pretty legit, though.

Yup,

Owens is the PTBNL in the Dunn deal. But we’d still be dealing with a strong top-of-the-rotation if the Snakes got CC.

It’s a minority opinion around here, but the Giants should at least dip their toes in the water on this one for any number of reasons.
