Arm issues aside, I don’t think he’s all that great defensively. That’s based on observation, mind you, not numbers, because defensive stats are so far over my head they might as well be on Pluto.

For those of you not in the know, most of the population does not eat cheese. A goodly portion regard cheese with same horror that westerners have at snake meat or ox penis.

I’m not certain that the Chinese word for ketchup is the same as the word for tomato sauce, but if there is a separate, word that just means “tomato sauce” I never discovered it .

Ovens are trendy for nouveau rich, but most chefs in China probably go their whole careers without making bread (or crust) in an oven .
Strike 3.

Once you get over all that, and learn to enjoy surprises like the fact, no, “fruit pizza” is not a typo, Chinese pizza is okay in its own eccentric way.

The biggest culinary mistake I have ever made was getting pizza in LONDON of all places. It made the pizza you used to get in grade school taste like ambrosia. The crust, I swear, was made from the English equivalent of Bisquick.

Can the Giants trade Rowand? I mean, let’s pretend some team wanted him, and Rowand was willing to waive whatever no-trade clause he might have in his contract.

Rowand is a pretty typical Sabean signing—wrong kind of player for the Giants. Rowand would be a great addition to a team with plenty of good hitting, and just lacking a little gamerish, good-d, pretty good hitting.

I’d rather have Winn in CF next season and batting leadoff. Let Schierholtz and Bowker battle it out for the rights to RF.

so many quakes do a lot of damage elsewhere, but put them in a Giants uniform and it’s always a disappointment. when was the last time Sabean managed to pick up an earthquake that was actually productive here over the long term/.
