Bill Melendez died.
Who?
For those of you not named Natto , Bill Melendez was the animator for the comic strip Peanuts.
NOT the illustrator - that was Charles Schulz - but this would be the fellow largely responsible for giving #5 (The dancing kid) his smooth (and all too rare 'round these parts) moves.
He was also , apparently , the voice - sort of - of Snoopy.
I'm betting this doesn't mean diddly to any but a handful of us "octogenarians"...let us bow our balding heads.

So now the three creative forces behind a brilliant scene (not to mention the entire show) are gone:
The creator – Charles Schultz
The composer – Vince Guaraldi
The animator – Bill Melendez

Wouldn’t the “Christmas Time is Here” instrumental be more appropriate?

Agreed
Am I the only one who thinks “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones is a slight rip-off of it?
