I enjoyed this article. I'm still peeved that the playoffs were cancelled after the NLCS due to some reason I can't remember. But this series was good times.

Goddamn I loved Benny back then.
That really was a great series. I remember thinking the A’s would go farther in the playoffs that season. I fully expected the Giants to get bounced in the first round. Then they beat the Braves and had that great series against the Cards (lol Steve Kline).

Oh the irony. Jeff Pearlman writing an article praising the Giants, only to go on to condemn them and Bonds and other steroids users later. Way to not notice what was going on, seriously was everyone that naive?
