PINCH THREAD!

Natto gets the run scored on Grant’s home run.

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

or at least for the tie.

It was a win for that situation!

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

This is so cool. This game could be responsible for a slight change in the MLB Official Rules.

by rotorueter on Sep 26, 2008 9:26 PM PDT   0 recs

Can we instant replay the first 158 games? I think we hit a few more home runs.

Don't think, it could only hurt the ballclub.

It’d be taken down after two minutes.

BMoney is so good ....

he has other players run the bases for him

by wilriv21 on Sep 26, 2008 9:27 PM PDT   0 recs

Giants actually filed the protest.

Bengie got removed because it was a single. If it was a HR immediately, Bengie would have stayed in the game.

by Lars The Wanderer on Sep 26, 2008 9:27 PM PDT   0 recs

yeah, that’s what I said, but then I was told to “chill.”

by timmeh on Sep 26, 2008 9:29 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

It's Bochy's right to want Bengie back in the game

I’ve got no problem with him holding it up and filing the protest.

Noonan. Nooooonan!

actually

that’s not what you said. Though I’m not really sure why you were told to chill.

by Viliphied on Sep 26, 2008 9:29 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I said “chill” because he kept ranting and raving about Bochy, not because of the protest thing.

Sorry if I went over the line, but some of the things this team cares about bugs me. Last year they pulled Randy Winn to “protect” his .300 batting average, and this year they play Bengie into the ground in a lame attempt to get him to 100 RBI’s. How about caring about your won-loss record??

Brian Sabean's new dad: Firm believer in corporal punishment

by rxmeister on Sep 26, 2008 9:32 PM PDT   0 recs

maybe you have not been elected Mr Congenialty like McCain

by wilriv21 on Sep 26, 2008 9:33 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Really? I don’t think it had anything to do with winning the game. It had to do with her personal goals. Once it was ruled a HR and Bengie got two ribbies, Bochy saw the possibility that Bengie could reach 100 RBI’s.

Brian Sabean's new dad: Firm believer in corporal punishment

by rxmeister on Sep 26, 2008 9:36 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

by ResDog on Sep 26, 2008 9:38 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

why would he pull Bengie in the first place if he was worried about winning the game? It’s too early in the game to think about putting in a faster runner.

by rxmeister on Sep 26, 2008 9:39 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

It’s the same manager who took out Ishikawa in the 4th inning due to the emergence of a lefty reliever. No one is sure why he does what he does.

by rotorueter on Sep 26, 2008 9:39 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

why I called Bengie a “her” I don’t know. Maybe I should spend more time with my wife and less time watching Bengie Molina!!

Not mutually exclusive

Leaving one of your best players is also a good way of winning the game.

well we were never over .500 this year
