Oh, I’m watching it. But in a little bit, the game will start and I’ll need to decide which pain is more bearable.

Crap – just checked the listings. It looks like my decision about game vs. debate has been made for me. I can’t watch the game until after the debate since the game is on NBC11. Shitballs.

by can of corn on Sep 26, 2008 7:02 PM PDT   0 recs

Check your email, the Giants media ppls sent out an email with details on where to watch the game.
First pitch isn’t till 730 or 735 I think.

by Merope on Sep 26, 2008 7:11 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Here’s the contents of the email:

Please note that tonight, Friday, September 26th, the Giants – Dodgers game at AT&T Park is now a 7:35 p.m. first pitch (original game time was 7:15 p.m.).

The game time changed due to the presidential debate which will be aired on NBC-11/KNTV, so also note that beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), the Giants telecast will be available on channel 187 for viewers that have Comcast Digital Cable. Fans with antennas and digital tuners can watch the game on 11-2. The debate is scheduled to conclude at 8:00 p.m. (Pacific) and NBC-11 will resume televising the Giants-Dodgers game after the conclusion of the debate.

So if I’ve got Directv I’ve still gotta wait.

I ‘spose so.
31 isn’t televising the game tonight, so it’s radio only for me.

by Merope on Sep 26, 2008 7:16 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

On Baseball Tonight, they had a colossally stupid segment where they held a debate about the two NL Wildcard hopefuls. Chris Singleton represented the Mets while Fernando Vina represented the Brewers. The two debated over why their respective teams should be chosen(?) as the Wild Card winner. Apparently, the Brewers are a “lunch-pail” team, although that observation probably came from seeing Prince Fielder.

Let's face it

Former players usually don’t make very good analysts. They just don’t.

Except Roy Smalley. That guy rocked. Maybe Harold Reynolds, too.

Was this already mentioned somewhere?

From Extra Baggs

Bit of a surprise for folks just prior to the first pitch. They’ll give Bengie Molina the Willie Mac award as their most inspirational player, and Dodgers infielder Jeff Kent was asked and agreed to take part in the ceremony. Kent is a former Willie Mac winner.
