Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants
One of my favorite newspaper headlines ever, courtesy of the LA Times:

"Dodgers Wonder What's Wrong With Dodgers" works on so, so many levels.

Here’s the contents of the email:
Please note that tonight, Friday, September 26th, the Giants – Dodgers game at AT&T Park is now a 7:35 p.m. first pitch (original game time was 7:15 p.m.).
The game time changed due to the presidential debate which will be aired on NBC-11/KNTV, so also note that beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), the Giants telecast will be available on channel 187 for viewers that have Comcast Digital Cable. Fans with antennas and digital tuners can watch the game on 11-2. The debate is scheduled to conclude at 8:00 p.m. (Pacific) and NBC-11 will resume televising the Giants-Dodgers game after the conclusion of the debate.

On Baseball Tonight, they had a colossally stupid segment where they held a debate about the two NL Wildcard hopefuls. Chris Singleton represented the Mets while Fernando Vina represented the Brewers. The two debated over why their respective teams should be chosen(?) as the Wild Card winner. Apparently, the Brewers are a “lunch-pail” team, although that observation probably came from seeing Prince Fielder.

Former players usually don’t make very good analysts. They just don’t.
Except Roy Smalley. That guy rocked. Maybe Harold Reynolds, too.

From Extra Baggs
Bit of a surprise for folks just prior to the first pitch. They’ll give Bengie Molina the Willie Mac award as their most inspirational player, and Dodgers infielder Jeff Kent was asked and agreed to take part in the ceremony. Kent is a former Willie Mac winner.

Standing ovation for Kruk and Kuip
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

Kruk has turned me off a little bit this year with his homerism. Don’t tell me Correia is having tough luck when he’s in the midst of a six run inning.
