Soooo… if OBP/lgOBP + SLG/lgSLG happens to be less than one, you’ve got your negative OPS+.
OK...
So basically if you’ve got less than 50% the league average of both then you’ve got a negative OPS. In simple terms. Got it.

I always would do that accidentally. I’d hit ctrl and my scroll button and that changes the text size. Try fiddling with that.

I think Couric has been getting high marks for her candidate interviews this year. Good questions after disarming them with her morning show charm. She might finally start asserting herself as Anchor.
Castillo got the DFA. Guestimate for Castillo DFA to come before the 2009 season = 2.

I don’t know if anybody saw this, but it was mentioned over on minorleagueball. At the beginning of the season, one poster predicted Zito would go 10-16 with a 5.28 era. These are actually his current numbers, with 1 start left. According to another poster, if he gives up 4 runs in 7 innings and gets a ND, he will end it with those #s. That would be pretty cool, with all the predicitons that happen on these blogs, for one to actually come true.

This is the first year he has thrown 150 innings. I am not saying he did well in the final third. Just saying trying to trade with out the 150 innings and your basically tradeing him as a reliever. If they didn’t trash his arm these are innings he really needed to have if a team wants to use him as a starter in the future.
