Thread Congrats Timmy Gameday

That's a palindrome too.  Trust me.  DON'T LOOK AT IT CLOSELY.  But trust me.

I guess this won't really jinx anything if I post this now.

NOTE:

Today isn’t short rest. It’s normal rest. The rotation was just fuggled with, switching Sanchez and Tim but since there was an off day he had his normal 4 day rest.

Probably not. I was trying to subtly mock the “there’s no PROOF that pitch counts lead to injury” crowd. I’m actually in full agreement with you.

Even if there’s a 10% chance that too many stressful pitches too early will ruin Timmy’s career that’s too high a percentage for such catastrophic results. That being said I truly, truly hop that Timmy is the same or better next year.

by paboperfecto on Sep 23, 2008 9:12 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well, the image of the arm flopping around like a dead fish wasn’t entirely serious either. :)

It's a blowout...

He’s just doing weird stuff he wouldn’t normally do. If he had another at bat, he’d have batted lefty.

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

Lince & Aurilia messing this game up

gives the Cy to Webb,

and saves Sabean and the Giants about $10 million to $15 million on Lince’s longterm contract this winter.

Mad Bum really looks like one of my best friends from high school.

They're probably thinking like Gillaspie
"I feel honestly I can play as good as any of these guys up here,‘’ Gillaspie said. "I just need to get in there.’’

Nate’s first 4 ABs had me thinking he was pressing like Bowker started to at the beginning of his demise, trying to pull outside fastballs, but that last inning gave me hope for both.

When another vilely scrawny field is silly, some arena toward an instinct can be profound to a sincere jail.

Cy ya next year

pretty much no reason to watch this team for the rest of the season :(. I still plan on going to the game on Saturday to see us beat the bums in a meaningless game. Oh well, maybe I’ll get lucky and catch foul ball with my face.
