Thread Congrats Timmy Gameday
That's a palindrome too. Trust me. DON'T LOOK AT IT CLOSELY. But trust me.
I guess this won't really jinx anything if I post this now.

This game feels like one of the early-season games
Adopted Giant: Aaron King
Wearing the crown by 2011. Or at least the LOOGY hat
Go hang a salami im a lasagna hog
I am Cameron Wood and this is my son and business partner CW Culberson.
YABU!!!
Adopted Son: Brad Hennessey. Beloved for a stolen base much like Dave Roberts

I hope this means Timmy is not going to pitch again on short rest
Bill Mueller? I expect at least A-Rod type numbers from my son, Conor Gillaspie
WE NEED TO GET HIM 20 WINS
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
PABLO SANDOVAL AM STEAL DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
NOTE:
Today isn’t short rest. It’s normal rest. The rotation was just fuggled with, switching Sanchez and Tim but since there was an off day he had his normal 4 day rest.

How is my adopted son almost twice as old as I am? Nevermind...Go Omar! Warm the Bench!
Hmmm I thought today was his scheduled day to pitch and then he was going to pitch on short rest for the last one
Bill Mueller? I expect at least A-Rod type numbers from my son, Conor Gillaspie
I guess he can win the Cy Young next year.
If he still has an arm next year.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

Where’s your proof that there’s a correlation between throwing way too many pitches in your rookie year and your arm falling off next year?
by paboperfecto on Sep 23, 2008 9:04 PM PDT up reply actions
Okay, technically not rookie year, first full year.

Shawn Estes was never the same
..though I guess his stayed basically attached.
When you see his arm flopping around on the mound next spring training like a dead fish, I hope you’ll be ready to eat crow.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
PABLO SANDOVAL AM STEAL DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
Probably not. I was trying to subtly mock the “there’s no PROOF that pitch counts lead to injury” crowd. I’m actually in full agreement with you.
Even if there’s a 10% chance that too many stressful pitches too early will ruin Timmy’s career that’s too high a percentage for such catastrophic results. That being said I truly, truly hop that Timmy is the same or better next year.

Well, the image of the arm flopping around like a dead fish wasn’t entirely serious either. :)
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

That’s fine because there are plenty of birds I’d rather eat than crow anyway.

K..
If the Giants don’t score next half inning I’m going to be a non-GAMER.

I Misched most of the game. Had to run my brother back home to Sacramento. The radio reception on the car stereo wasn’t the best on the way back. Kinda glad I Misched the BS. :/

It’s not like it’s the WHOLE season, only 6 or so hours a day include pre/post game, newspaper articles and blogs. That leaves you 18 hours each day not Giants related not even counting off days!

Is this game more depressing than the Opening Day?

I haven’t had a chance to watch the game (had a houseful of kids, including one who peed his pants – yay me!), and I haven’t read any of the threads since the game started. Was Tim as bad as the score suggests? Bad news for Cy?

When another vilely scrawny field is silly, some arena toward an instinct can be profound to a sincere jail.
I hope Seth Smith gets herpes. From Tommy Lasorda.

Trying to find something positive...
I did have a delicious tuna sandwich for lunch!!
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
So did I, still eating it in fact. Courtesy of the American Club (by way of my mother-in-law)

A delicious tuna sandwich is even more delicious when eaten in Singapore.
Anywhere in Asia, really. And the tuna comes in pop-top cans!! FTW!!
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
Yes, but each HR weighs approximately 667 lbs.
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
It was the morning fog...
It may cool the air (I don’t care).
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
Random
I bought something at the Target in Tanforan the other day and received a Canadian penny in the change. Hey, it’s worth more than a penny.
It's a blowout...
He’s just doing weird stuff he wouldn’t normally do. If he had another at bat, he’d have batted lefty.
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

Lince & Aurilia messing this game up
gives the Cy to Webb,
and saves Sabean and the Giants about $10 million to $15 million on Lince’s longterm contract this winter.
So THAT'S why Bochy overworked Lincecum...
Orders from Sabean.
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
Sabean's a genius!!
Five year extension, Neukom!! Get on it!!
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

Mad Bum really looks like one of my best friends from high school.

They're probably thinking like Gillaspie

Cy ya next year
pretty much no reason to watch this team for the rest of the season :(. I still plan on going to the game on Saturday to see us beat the bums in a meaningless game. Oh well, maybe I’ll get lucky and catch foul ball with my face.

Also missed because I was driving back from Sacramento. >:|
