Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Open Gameday Thread, 9/23

Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants, Sep 23, 2008 7:15 PM PDT

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2008 - Tim Lincecum 17-4 32 31 2 1 0 0 215.2 172 65 59 10 77 243 2.46 1.15

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2008 - Ubaldo Jimenez 11-12 32 32 1 0 0 0 185.2 175 94 85 11 95 158 4.12 1.45

Part of me wants to think of the final two Lincecum starts as our "playoffs." There should be quite an emotional investment in these games.

Another, smarter, part of me knows that anything remotely in the same zip code of the same region of the Venn diagram that includes the word "playoffs" is something that causes pain to those who follow the San Francisco Giants.

So go Lincecum, and let's leave it at that.

How many pitches do you want Lincecum to throw?

I’d say between 85-95. Don’t push him at the end of the year, let him go 5 to try and get the win.

Jimenez has an ERA of 0.93 against the Giants this season. He has an ERA above 5 for all other teams combined.

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

Asshole downstairs neighbors update

Becuase you’re all dying to know: our asshole downstairs neighbors have been sending our landlord OMG INDIGNANT emails again about their delusional notion that we’re loud. Why? Because our 2-year old was screaming his head off for a while in the middle of the night Friday. Why was he doing that? Because he woke up at midnight with croup, leading to a 4-hours emergency room visit.

I bet they’re Dodgers fans. Fuckers.

It really really pissed me off when they had their whole postgame celebration thing

after the last game and Derek Jeter said they have the best fans ever. Do you have any idea how FUCKING easy it is to root for a team that wins a minimum of 95 games a year? Their idea of a “hard time” is not making the playoffs. And they won’t stop bitching until they make it next year. Seriously, fuck the Yankees, fuck their fans, fuck Arod, fuck Derek Jeter, fuck George Steinbrenner, fuck his kids, and years in advance before they take over the team, fuck their kids too.
