Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2008 - Tim Lincecum 17-4 32 31 2 1 0 0 215.2 172 65 59 10 77 243 2.46 1.15

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2008 - Ubaldo Jimenez 11-12 32 32 1 0 0 0 185.2 175 94 85 11 95 158 4.12 1.45

Part of me wants to think of the final two Lincecum starts as our "playoffs." There should be quite an emotional investment in these games.

Another, smarter, part of me knows that anything remotely in the same zip code of the same region of the Venn diagram that includes the word "playoffs" is something that causes pain to those who follow the San Francisco Giants.

So go Lincecum, and let's leave it at that.

How many pitches do you want Lincecum to throw?

I’d say between 85-95. Don’t push him at the end of the year, let him go 5 to try and get the win.

Jimenez has an ERA of 0.93 against the Giants this season. He has an ERA above 5 for all other teams combined.

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

just wondering?

what’s the ERA of opposing starting pitchers against the Giants compared to against the rest of the league? I’d imagine its a pretty big split

He does have an ERA in the 2’s for a couple teams, but that’s about it.
