Key quotes
(Lincecum) is 15-3, with five blown saves and six C.U.S. (Criminally Unsupported Starts games in which he pitched at least six innings and his team scored one run or none while he was in the game).

and

Webb has one blown save and only two C.U.S. So that accounts for your gap in wins, gang.

Stark is pretty SABR-friendly and I’m happy to see that he’s able to look past WINZ for the Cy. He’s one of the better baseball guys for ESPN. I think him and Neyer are the only ones worth a damn on ESPN, maybe Kurkijan.

I forgot KLaw, he’s good, too. His chats are usually a fun read.

as annoying as he can be with his boston humping

I enjoy reading Simmons most of the time. He’s not very insightful on anything, but the pop culture references usually make me laugh.

Bout time

I think the Webb-Lincecum debate is over after each of their last two starts. Tonight will be crucial for Timmy. Many people have scoffed at the idea because it’s only been half a season but Sabathia deserves a look, after the .5-hitter he threw. I would still give it to Lincecum but I think Sabathia gets second over Webb now.
