I Blame Matt Cain

Before we had Matt the Giants had 8 (count them 8) consecutive winning seasons with 4 (count them 4) playoff appearances and 1 World Series appearance..  Matt Cain is just a flat ass jinx.  Just look at his Win Loss Record compared to his ERA.  How is that possible without being a jinx?    If we want to start winning again and making the playoffs again we need to trade his bad luck bad ass ASAP!  It is our only hope.

But the omniscient Brian Sabean and Bruce Bochy believe in Matt Cain. I guess I just have more faith in men who know baseball than you do.

With his win-loss record, I’d guess even trading him for Prince friggin’ Fielder isn’t going to happen now! So let’s send him off for whatever minor league scrubs we can get!

Maybe we can trade Cain for A-Rod.

Positive thinking didn’t work. Negative thinking didn’t work. Let’s try neutral thinking next time.

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

That was an ok joke.

Hey wait, didn’t we try the neutral approach on Steve Kline, who was pretty ok? Do we want Matt Cain to turn into Steve Klein?

by cheno on Sep 16, 2008 10:48 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Okay… NOBODY needs to google image search Steve Klein to try to find an image of some dude name Steve Klein to post here and be like “What, this guy?”

Take it from me. I’ve already been there. You guys don’t need that google image search on your souls, too.

Hey kids, look! I found a new PC way to respond to every bullshit, meaningless, and timewasting post by my good friend here!!!

Mr. Giantsrainman, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

by delorean on Sep 17, 2008 10:11 AM PDT   0 recs

I got it

I got that it was a joke, but it does underscore a potential problem with the Giants rebuilding. What if Cain never turns the corner? I personally have him pencilled in for 8 career no-hitters, and I don’t remember where I put the eraser. Dammit!

No, really, I have updated my blog this year: http://skaldheim.livejournal.com/tag/baseball

Still putting up better numbers the Russ Ortiz did. Would still out produce any pitcher the Giants farm produced in the 70’s & 80’s as well. I could learn to live it it. It would take an effort but some how I could manage.
