Speaking of the whole falling down when throwing bit
Upon watching the Arizona DBacks the other day, I got to see David Eckstein play. Every time he threw to first I had a mental image of him doing the falling down while throwing throw, just to get the ball to first base.
It’s amusing to me, at least…
Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
I think
that there are about twenty people in the McCoven who could easily do Bruce Jenkin’s job better than he does it.
His recent pieces arguing against pitch counts were so idiotic, so wrongheaded, I actually enjoyed reading them just to get into how completely insane they were. And then I was all like, “well, glad Bruce f**kin Jenkins isn’t running the Giants. I mean, they’re professionals : they’d never be so crazy as to run their young pitchers out there for the work load this back-ward thinking fool wants them too …”
