I feel like 127 hits in 43 AB should work out to a higher AVG than .116

Hooray youth movement!!
Scott McClain is here!! In case you missed it, McClain, Hennessey and Holm called up. GRod DFA’d, to add McClain to the 40 man. Fresno has another game left and since the Rockies are using a lefty, Bowker and Nate stay down another day.

I have no problem with calling up McClain. Reward the guy for having a nice year in AAA and give him a chance to finally hit his first ML homer.

I have no problem with McClain either, if he just pinch hits and gets an occasional start, but Bochy will somehow do something that gets on my nerves. McClain is here and so is Roelinger, and there’s Rich Aurilia getting yet another start today.

The San Francisco Giants made their September Call ups according to Rob Dibble on XM radio. They are as Following:
Catcher Steve Holm
Infielder Scott McClain aka Crash Davis 2008. (will he get any Playing Time?)
Outfielder Nate Schierholtz
Outfielder John Bowker
Outfielder Clay Timper
Right Handed Pitcher Brad Hennessey
Left Handed Pitcher Geno Espeneli
Left Handed Pitcher Steve Hammond
To make room on the 40 man the San Francisco Giants designated for assignment Catcher Guillermo Rodriguez and Catcher Eliezer Alfonso.

I think Dibble’s getting ahead of himself – everyone else says they’ve called up Holm, McClain, and Hennessey, and that Schierholtz and Bowker will be called up tomorrow.

Random, but
Anyone else have Comcast for their Internet connection? If so, have you been having problems with your connection lately? My connection seems to be grinding to a halt for half an hour or so regularly right in the middle of the day lately – which is kind of a huge problem for me as I work from home. Wondering if it’s just me or if they suck for everyone at the moment. Grumble, grumble.

We used to have Comcast, we got rid of it. Our connection would go out everytime it rained! The service dude said that the rain / moisture had nothing to do with it, there was nothing wrong with the line and charge us $50 for the “house call.” Next time it rained…it’d go out again.
After that happened 4x we got rid of comcast!

We're lucky
Ian Stewart and his 1.500 OPS vs lefties isn’t in the starting line up. I guess the Rox manager drank some of Bochy’s juice and assumes lefties can’t hit lefties.

Ben Sheets just left the game with an apparent injury for the Brewers. Left after 5 innings, 52 pitchers of shut out 2 hit ball. That sucks for the Brewers.

Well, it’s only to be expected – we established yesterday – in the gameady thread, I think – that Colorado and Arizona are pitchers’ parks.
