Eliezer J. Alfonzo? WTH?
Brian Jeffrey Horwitz?
John B. Bowker? I guess his middle name really is Boy.
Also, Dave Roberts projected to get 17 plate appearances the rest of the year… I don’t know about that, but here’s to hoping (unless Fred does the sensible surgery thing).
Otherwise, I’m not really arguing with anything here. Might be optimistic for Vizquel…
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.
Wait, so not only is Molina replaceable, he is probably replaceable by Steve Holm?
I am shocked, SHOCKED.
You mean “replaceable by Stephen R. Holm.”

how the hell do they make these projections???
brian bocock .668 ops with a homer… i say there’s less than a 1% chance he ever even makes it back to the majors
He’s out for the season with Chulkitis now, so his chances of doing anything else this year are pretty slim.

Read the article; it's not complicated.
In fact, it’s really simple.
...it is the most basic forecasting system you can have, that uses as little intelligence as possible. ... It uses 3 years of MLB data, with the most recent data weighted heavier. It regresses towards the mean. And it has an age factor.
Billy Hayes: His job is better than yours.
