Bonds attending Outfielders reunion on Saturday? Maybe.
Apparently, Bonds is on vacation in Hawaii for the week, but will be back in SoCal today.
Andrew Baggarly:
I emailed Barry Bonds’ publicist, Rachael Vizcarra, earlier in the week to find out if the All-Time Home Run King would attend Saturday’s outfielder reunion at AT&T Park as part of the 50th anniversary celebration. She responded a few minutes ago:
"Thanks for your email…we are doing great…Barry has been invited to the reunion at AT & T Park this weekend, but I’m sure you’ve heard he’s on a family vacation, so we are not sure if his schedule will permit…"
It'd be great if he showed, especially since I'll be at the game.. I know the fans will definitely be good to him; I know I will.

No way in hell Barry will be there. He didn’t even stay for the end of his last game.
Rafael Rodriguez: Pretty young!
yeah i’m glad he showed… I was a little disappointed when I saw the last spot.. and I knew it was going to be for Mays. But yeah, it was a good ceremony. I lol @ bond’s little comment at the end though.
If my head is full of white hairs by the end of this season.. I blame Brian Wilson. (I'm only 22, dammit!)
Barry will be there
...I think. As they were going off the air last night, Kruk and Kuip made a big deal about how we should tune in for the pregame ceremonies as if it were the most important event in the history of the world. There is no way they would act like that unless Barry was going to be there.

The ovation would be thundering
It might even help him - from the positive PR spin it would generate - hitch on with another team for the dash to the playoffs.
Also, looking at the results, there’s a lot of cynics here.

The only question now is...
Will Scott Rowand attend the 60th anniversary?
I wish I’d been at the park tonight. Barry Bonds made this place so special for so many years. I think I would have teared up seeing him again.
No, really, I have updated my blog this year: http://skaldheim.livejournal.com/tag/baseball
i'd only admit it on here... but i did =X
It was mostly cause of the damn music they played though. great game by the way… glad i went.. was a really fun game even though i had view box seats… even scalpers ran out of tickets. what’s that about ;)
If my head is full of white hairs by the end of this season.. I blame Brian Wilson. (I'm only 22, dammit!)
