Weekend Predictions
Brad Penny (5-9, 5.88) vs. Barry Zito (6-13, 5.40)
Hiroki Kuroda (6-8, 4.21) vs. Kevin Correia (2-6, 5.53)
Chad Billingsley (11-9, 3.01) vs. Matt Cain (7-9, 3.60)
So, what do you guys think?
I'm going with 2-1. I say the Giants will win on Friday and Sunday in close games, but our boys will lose on Saturday in a close game.

Interesting prediction…I can agree with you somewhat. I think Friday’s game will be interesting to watch…Penny having not pitched since June and Zito with hoping to carry his momentum.
I would have to disagree with the Saturday prediction though…if you remember, the last Dodger series had a Corriea v. Kuroda match up, Correia ended up winning. They both are coming off of decent starts, so it should be interesting to see who wins. I would say Correia wins this one though, we had Kuroda figured out—if you remember that game, all 7 runs came off of hits.
I think Sunday will be a good game but Billingsley shut us out last time, so we need to spark some offense this time.
yeahhh correia better win!
I’m going to saturday’s game… =/ 3-0 this season! BEAT LA!
If my head is full of white hairs by the end of this season.. I blame Brian Wilson. (I'm only 22, dammit!)
The Giants will have the single greatest series that any team has ever had, and I will miss it because I am out of town.

World's Fakest Hick
I couldn’t agree more that Kent has a stupid ugly hick jaw. Too bad he’s from Bellflower. He wins the award for biggest wannabe hick ever. Runner up: Trevor Hoffman, also from the LA suburb of Bellflower. What’s with that town?
Here's to Kemp, Loney, LaRoche, Hu, and Kershaw not panning out.
I don’t know but I laugh at them.

okay, okay
how bout we just make everybody happy and do all three?
Manny hits a home run off of Zito in his first AB against him but a costly error by him (he dives into the Chevron cars on a shallow popup) allows the Giants to score two runs.
close
he tries to open the driver’s side door, wondering why those cars have eyes on the front!

All I would really like to happen is for Matt to beat Billingsley, but it’s probably the thing that’s least likely to happen. :(
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
I'd be content with Billingsley just not getting the win
and Matt not getting the loss
Kevin finished strong last year.
Hope for a repeat.

Kick the frost out, burn the breese.
Here's to Kemp, Loney, LaRoche, Hu, and Kershaw not panning out.
The teams split on Friday and Saturday, and the Giants win on Sunday when just called up Pablo Sandoval hits a pinch hit walk off homerun into McCovey Cove off of Jonathan Broxton, who then actually starts to cry on the mound and heave up massive amounts of garlic fries.

I would never predict for Zito to get at home. In 27 starts there as a Giant, he’s 6-14 at AT&T

Yeah but, he also owned the Dodgers last time around :)

True, but I really get the impression his sphincter tightens up more at home. Maybe it’s from the pressure of trying to live up to the contract and fans’ expectations. Without going through his gamelogs, it seems to me his really horrid performmances tend to be at home.

OK, I just took at a look and he’s had four games this season that were really really awful; didn’t last 5 innings AND gave up 5 or more ER. Three of those four were at home.

Thank you for keeping us apprised on Barry Zito’s butthole, Goofus.

Giants get swept
Not happy about it, just sayin’....
Your 2011 SF Giants: the 2008 Augusta Greenjackets!
I predict we win one
Don’t know which one (although I’m hoping Saturday cuz I’m going), but we only win one due to being shut-out the other two games. In our win, Jose Castillo doesn’t even get to sniff any playing time and Brian Wilson will get the save.

i can honestly be happy with ANY results
as long as I get to see someone in a Dodger uniform trying to wipe their own blood off.
preferably on the field, but I may settle for in the stands as well.
sick. yes. perverse, possibly.
but it’s the little things in life…
I predict we lose the first game 6-2, and Zito gets beaten by Jeff Kent. I predict that the Giants will have trouble with Brad Penny’s new found 89mph heater although Bengie Molina will hit a homerun. Please don’t check the date and time of this post.
