Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Apparently good grammar is not a requirement to write for a baseball blog:

"After Mulder went down again when Carpenter came back after only a little more than a year after Tommy John surgery people were obviously sceptical but Carpenter has pitched well in his first two starts despite being a little erratic with his control."

BREEEAAAAAAAATHHHHHH.

"So it isn’t the pure sink that Carpenter relies on but what Carpenter has going for him is he throws the pitch at nearly 92 MPH on average which is very high for sinkers and he produces nearly ten inches of vertical movement boring in on a right handed batter"

Whew, I don't know if I can make it through this...

bad

but not that bad; if the writer utilized punctuation a wider range of punctuation, the sentences would work fine. Were these sentences to be spoken, there would likely be implicit punctuation within the speech.

Yeah, some commas would help.

My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.

Did you post this just to go OMG LOOK BAD ENGLISH EVERYONE CROWD AROUND or to point out what the guy is actually saying?

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

Mostly the former

But I also thought the article in general was interesting.

Kind of a weird juxtaposition.

Heh.

Studeman edits Josh’s work over at Hardball Times. I prefer to let Josh ramble on. He does good work, anyway. :)
