I really think Alex is a good QB, but I’m not confident he’ll grasp the offense quickly. I think the defense is really going to be quite good, but I’m just not sure the offense will get it going early enough to make something out of the season. It should be more fun to watch than last year, though.

if the offense is just OK, the team will be very strong. The D is good enough and Andy Lee will win any field position battles.

5 walks and multiple ABs where he started with 0-2 and ended up in a walk (with no pitches anywhere near the zone) is very disappointing to me. But I have very high standards for Matt Cain.
