2008 AFL Rosters Have Been Announced
The Arizona Fall League (AFL) rosters have been announced, and while most of the teams have submitted their players the Giants have not.
One look at the Scottsdale Scorpions roster tells me Buster Posey isn't going to play because there's no roster spot for another catcher. There are, however, two spots reserved for Giants pitchers, two for infielders, and one for an outfielder.
Any speculation on who goes?

He plays SS for the Giants.
That catcher stuff was only for college.

My first impulse was to say they wouldn’t send Gerald, but the White Sox are sending Beckham so. They’re shutting down TimA and MadBum. Unless they send like Matt Downs or someone, they could send Posey as their one lower level pick.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bowker got the OF spot

Isn't already said
that Noah will pitch there? I’m pretty sure I read that.

Unless there are special provisions for players coming back from injury, I don’t think Noah is eligible to play in the AFL.

I think Noah is aiming for winter ball, not AFL.

If the Giants are serious about Pablo at 3B, he’ll probably get one of the IF spots.
..so allow me to present Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain as two sweet, sweet bottles of warming hooch.
