CC to the Giants?
http://baseball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/11273/20080825/ccs_first_choice_giants/
Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but it looks like its possible that CC would make the Giants his first choice in free agency (grew up in Vallejo). Not sure if management would go through with it considering the money they threw at Zito and its epic failure. I guess they will have some money to play with in the offseason and this might be a better option than any infielders available in free agency. That would be a wicked 1-2-3 punch!! Also it would allow them to trade Dirty Sanchez (decent trade value). With the exception of Teixera and Furcal, theres really isnt much available. I have a feeling they may just stick with Sandoval at 3rd (crossing fingers on experiment), Ishi at 1st, burris at ss, Fransden/Velez at 2nd. Either way, it will be an interesting offseason.

Unless, Zito is abducted and taken away to Melmac there is no way we spend big money on a starting pitcher.

Now, now... let's not be so hasty to dismiss Plan A
1. Abduct Zito (site of detention TBD, but there will soon be space opening in Guantanamo)
2. Set up dummy bank account under the name of Barry S. Zito, but which is actually owned by the Giants.
3. Send Zito’s paychecks into this dummy account, so they can always say they’re honoring the contract— “Look, here are the cancelled checks made out to Barry Zito!”
4. The money goes back to the Giants, which they use to pay a better pitcher.
5. Playoffs

See the Mayor’s plan, though? See, the Giants’ would open a bank account in Zito’s name, then abduct him. They would then direct deposite the $$ to themselves…

And I like it more tart than sweet. I make my own lemonade too, just juice 6 lemons or so, until you get 1 cup of lemon juice. Mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water, make a simple syrup. Combine the lemon juice and simple syrup, and then add 2-3 cups of water.
You can add more juice or less sugar to taste, but that makes a pretty good lemonade.

FLAVOR OVERLOAD
I like the Cheerwine slogans, most of them fail. But the drink is good!
* “Full of good cheer.”
* “It’s A Carolina Thing.”
* “On all occasions, it’s good taste.”
* “Now That Would Be Different.”
* “It’s Time to Zag.”
* “It’s, like, something else.” (Valspeak-inspired 1980s-era campaign)
* “Protecting Your Right to Drink…”
* “The Cherry Different Soft Drink”
It’s time to zag? guh?

was filmed a few blocks from my house in Elmhurst, Queens. They took over the Wendy’s on Queens Blvd and made it into the “McDougals.” For years they hung pictures of all the employees with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. Mitsuya Cider
It has a refreshing Sprite/7-Up like flavor, but not as sweet. They have it at Nijiya Market in Japantown, but it’s expensive, probably because it’s imported. When I was living in Osaka, I made a map of all the vending machines in the city I could find that sold it in 500mL tallboy cans for 110 yen or less. Good times.
