CC to the Giants?
http://baseball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/11273/20080825/ccs_first_choice_giants/
Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but it looks like its possible that CC would make the Giants his first choice in free agency (grew up in Vallejo). Not sure if management would go through with it considering the money they threw at Zito and its epic failure. I guess they will have some money to play with in the offseason and this might be a better option than any infielders available in free agency. That would be a wicked 1-2-3 punch!! Also it would allow them to trade Dirty Sanchez (decent trade value). With the exception of Teixera and Furcal, theres really isnt much available. I have a feeling they may just stick with Sandoval at 3rd (crossing fingers on experiment), Ishi at 1st, burris at ss, Fransden/Velez at 2nd. Either way, it will be an interesting offseason.

Unless, Zito is abducted and taken away to Melmac there is no way we spend big money on a starting pitcher.

Now, now... let's not be so hasty to dismiss Plan A
1. Abduct Zito (site of detention TBD, but there will soon be space opening in Guantanamo)
2. Set up dummy bank account under the name of Barry S. Zito, but which is actually owned by the Giants.
3. Send Zito’s paychecks into this dummy account, so they can always say they’re honoring the contract— “Look, here are the cancelled checks made out to Barry Zito!”
4. The money goes back to the Giants, which they use to pay a better pitcher.
5. Playoffs

And I like it more tart than sweet. I make my own lemonade too, just juice 6 lemons or so, until you get 1 cup of lemon juice. Mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water, make a simple syrup. Combine the lemon juice and simple syrup, and then add 2-3 cups of water.
You can add more juice or less sugar to taste, but that makes a pretty good lemonade.
This. I can’t drunk lemonade if it’s too sweet.

* “It’s Time to Zag.”

I think he’s still funny, although I may be the last fan left. I laughed my ass off at Norbit, only to find out I was the only one who did.
Brian Sabean's new dad: Firm believer in corporal punishment
Mick LaSalle loved it. He thought it was one of the best movies of the year.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
yes, I saw Norbit in the theater. I actually saw it over a month after it came out and I only saw it because nothing else good was showing. The reason I waited so long was because of all the bad reviews. I totally disagreed. Now his latest movie “Dave” was pretty awful, I would agree with everyone there, but Norbit rocked.

Exactly
I would like to say also that the Tuesday before Mamma Mia came out, I was sitting around and I thought “He’s gonna give this the dude clapping in the chair.”
So predictable.
Trent Kline: Decentish. Also, my website is called ChatterBalks Dot Com and on it I make jokes about things.
Mick LaSalle makes me lol and lol because he’s so hilariously pretentious (and yet, always seems to decide that one really horrible movie a year is actually a masterpiece), but I would never really use his reviews for anything.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
Yeah he’s pretty ridic. Although not like this one sanctimonous a-hole who bitched about The Dark Knight saying it was representative of our banal culture of violence and basically telling all the damn kids to get off his lawn.

was filmed a few blocks from my house in Elmhurst, Queens. The word vagina is the reason why howie hates the nickname Big V for Villalona.
True story.

hmmm
Howie doesn’t like hearing it and finds it difficult to say whereas without batting an eye he will refer to his dick or his rod or his Johnson.

i hope Randy Johnson stays in baseball long enough to pitch to Big V. Then his life will be complete. Or mine. Whichever.

Oragina is very good. The first time I had it was at college. (That’s what she said)

Lesbian jokes aside
I had actually never even heard of Orangina when I took my first class at my current college. I was having lunch with some friends at the caf on campus and one of my friends was drinking an Orangina. She let me take a hit of it and I thought it was pretty damn good.

Sioux City Sasparilla and Orangina have already been taken, so I’ll throw these out there: Summertime Lime Odwalla and Squirt.
you can't block the Bocock
Ruby Red Squirt=great. Unfortunate name, though.

Squirt!
best hangover pop in the world. After your coffee and greasy food, hit up some squirt and feel better.
Hey, you say “pop”. We need a poll for sweetened, carbonated beverage terms: soda, soft drink, pop, etc.
Pop...
Midwest thing.

Mitsuya Cider
It has a refreshing Sprite/7-Up like flavor, but not as sweet. They have it at Nijiya Market in Japantown, but it’s expensive, probably because it’s imported. When I was living in Osaka, I made a map of all the vending machines in the city I could find that sold it in 500mL tallboy cans for 110 yen or less. Good times.

Still in despair.
I have a yen for some of that

We’re not assuming. We’re reacting to published reports about how he would like to sign here.

Barq's has bite.
It’s on the Flagstaff , AZ Carl’s Jr. menu but if you ask them for “a Barq’s” they have no idea – right up to the freaking MANAYER – what you’re talking about.
