Dog Days today
Is anyone going to Dog Days today?
JD and Charley-dog and I will be there, in the bleachers. Section 141 row 25 seats 4--6 -- or rather, two of those and one lap -- anyway, if anyone's coming and wants to meet the Long Dog, come and say hey!
We've been hovering around the Dog Days games for four years and always said "next year we'll have a dog and we'll go!" Now we finally get to. We aren't going to do the parade around the warning track though -- I would love to, but it's going to be too early and I don't want to have to bail out of the game early.
JD suggests that if Zito stinks up the joint, everyone gets to set their dogs on him.

My dog would freak out at the crowd and noises at the ballpark, bolt, and not get ten feet before dying of a heart attack. Poor dumb girl.

I don’t know how Charley’s going to act. Luckily he’s small enough to pick up if he starts wigging out. He is quite vocal and will probably yell at every person and every dog who comes by.

Mrs. Goofus, Natto, Rotorueter and I will be there. We’re not bring our adorable boxer, Zoe as I don’t think there’s quite enough room for her to sit comfortably at our feet. However, Mrs. Goofus is considering dressing up as a dominatrix, putting a leash around Natto and waking him around the ballpark.
Delorean, Mrs. Delorean, and Mom & Pop Delorean will also be at the game celebrating his 40th birthday with another Zito gem at AT&T Park.
Zooperstars, they quack me up!

+1

Wait 'til next year
Every year the wife and I plan on coming up to the Bay Area for a visit during the summer. Every year we plan it around Dog Days game, so we can bring our dog. And every year we come up with some reason at the last minute why we can’t/don’t want to go. “Next year”, I always say. “Next year, we’ll go.” Still haven’t been.

So, How did it go?
Any dogs make it all the way thru to the end?

Not us
We had a good time, but all the dogs were too distracting to pay much attention to the game. Charley got hot and tired (as did I) so we bailed out a little early. Every dog was trying to eat every human’s food. Charley got his nose in someone’s snow-cone.

best canine personality I've ever seen
The rolls of skin on her eyes allow her to “raise her eyebrows” at things she’s curious at, and of course give the “puppy dog eyes” when she wants something. It’s fantastic, she expresses herself like a human at times, and it makes for many laughs.
