Livan Hernandez allowed six earned runs over 3 2/3 innings Friday as the Rockies fell to the Reds.

Hernandez fell to 1-2 and is now sporting a 15.32 ERA in three starts for the Rockies. He didn’t walk a batter, but the Reds had no problems knocking the ball around, and out of, the ballpark. He needs to be better against the Giants next week.

Honestly, I think we’re spoiled by that talent that we have had, and continue to have, that when someone as raw as J.T. makes the scene who isn’t quite as seasoned it is jarring. I’m certainly hopping he continues to improve, because i’m sure it’s very important to him (what with his dad and all), and will always prefer JT over 99% of all color announcers out there/
