Open Gameday Thread: Revenge
Matt Palmer looks pretty good so far. Other than the hits, walks, and number of pitches thrown.

I was indifferent before because he hadn't done anything to make me not like him
His first start was horrible, but you can’t blame him for having a shitty first start. Now, however….

whiffed on the bunt on a squeeze play so Rohlinger was hung out to dry at the plate

Forget Palmer, Fuck Bochy
Retarded time to call the squeeze, IMO.

Agreed. In fact last night with Bengie was a better time to squeeze than just now.

agreed
all he needed was a grounder up the middle. especially with two rookies involved, don’t call the squeeze, just hope your pitcher can make solid contact.

or even if he gets out, you have the leadoff hitter up next
Squeezing is only a good idea when You’ve got a whole lotta nothing coming up after the current batter, and the current batter, sucks, and is a good bunter.

Correct. No reason put the squeeze on. Winn, who is hot as hell on deck. Pitcher on the ropes. Palmer actually looks like he can hit a bit. Stupid play. Got them right out of the jam. Stupid.

To the stat cave, nerds!
Opposing pitchers OBP is .282 against the Giants, highest in the NL. 4 American League pitching staffs are above us (lower opposing pitchers OBP). I found this by the split of #9 hitters against team staffs. There’s the occasional pitcher hitting 8tjh, but not many.
No, my Crazy Crab bobblehead is not for sale.
