Tim Lincecum Fan Site in Beta 2.0 version
Hi,
If anyone is interested, I completely overhauled www.TimLincecum.com (an unofficial fan site) over the last week or so. Hopefully you'll find it entertaining, well-designed, and a fun site to interact with.
Some of the features the site offers for Lincecum and Giants fans are:
- An extensive Lincecum Photo Gallery
- Interactive Chat feature
- Giants Trivia page and Giants/Lincecum poll questions throughout
- Interviews with Tim and Chris Lincecum
- Articles by Richard Van Zandt of Baseballevolution.com
- Helpful baseball links to many resources
- Tim Lincecum bio from Jockbio.com
- Tim's accomplishments and stats
- Virtual baseball card gallery
Hope you'll come and visit and let us know what you think!

The nickname poll needs Tim the Enchanter. I voted for Seabiscuit out of the given options, btw.
Less arm, more talk. Raisingcain is a GAMER.

Yea, I was about to say how much better the site is looking until I saw the omission of The Enchanter (the name he’ll have on his HOF shrine).

Your wish is granted....
I added “Tim The Enchanter” to the nickname poll.
You Monty Python fans are sooooo loyal. :)

Definitely improved.
Still a bit busy, though a lot of that is the ads, which I understand the need for. Still, it’s a good improvement over what it was.

He's back...and better than ever!
Seriously though, it is much improved over the original.

Lots more.
Popups, the whole works. Should even have an audio ad for a monster truck rally playing perpetually in the background.

Monster Truck Rally...
Hey…good idea. Seriously, I know there are many ads, but I am not fan of pop-ups.

My biggest comment
If there is any way you can avoid the ads, do so. Ads make a sight look cheap (no offense, Grant – I know you need them here). It shouldn’t really cost you crap to host that, so really the only reason for the ads is to try to make a little money (which you won’t, not enough traffic).
So really, your site will be more successful if you get rid of them completely.
Hosting a site like that costs about 12$ a year, so I would think you could absorb that in the interest of making your site better.

A site w/ no ads
Looks much more professional and legitimate.
The ads make it look like either a.) you are using some free hosting service or b.) your trying to make a buck.

Well
There ya go.
You don’t make any money off those adds unless you have insane traffic, anyway. Which you won’t.

I don’t object to an ad here of there, but it seems like there’s more ads than content on that site.
Zooperstars, they quack me up!

Ads, what ads?
I don’t see any McCovey ads, and don’t know what you’re talking about…hehehe

Why the fuck is Kyle Lohse an option for the NL Cy Young vote? NO. Bad fan site owner.

Lohse is lost...
No need to drop the F-bomb…I took Lohse off the poll and substituted with Aaron Cook…happy now?

It wasn’t a ‘fuck’ directed at you, it was for emphasis on my incredulity (I think that makes sense). Anyways, no, I’m still not happy; Cook is a poor option as well. I’d just drop him and go with 5 options. Or add Santana if you have to have six.

The F word isn’t a word, it’s a modifier.
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

You lost me, sorry. I’m not very good with proper use of the language or its terms.

It’s a fancy way of saying I use the F word as an adjective or adverb, a part of speech, and not like the actual word. Unless I tell someone play hide and go fornicate with themselves or something.
