Who to watch

Usually during this time of year, fans of poor teams focus on player development and on the shiny new call ups. However I think the most important thing for the remaining portion of the giants season is to determine if Zito's so called resurgence is for real or not. I know its only been three games, but if he can come close to matching his last performance, it will be much more important to the future of giants success than if Pablo or Ishi show of their talents. The last few months will play a huge role in how zito is treated in the offseason, whether he is demoted, traded, or even cut (never gonna happen but a man can dream). So whats more important the rest of the way, watching zito or pablo/ishi?

I agree that Zito is probably the most important part

but it doesn’t matter if we’re on “watch”, since we’re stuck with him anyway.

I really like that band, The Whom. They sing some catchy songs.

I love that song...

The populace tries to detract from us
Simply due to the fact that we are exceptionally mobile

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

I would be excited for football, but the 49ers are going to win like 3 games.

Oh well at least I have Directv with the Sunday NFL Ticket. Jaguars games FTW!

Oh and those Ishi/Pablito kids are awesome too.

by Hobbes2d on Aug 19, 2008 2:10 PM PDT reply actions

Its more important, but watching Ishi and Pablo develop is a millllion times more entertaining

I was interested in seeing Zito make a real run at 20 losses, but that is getting less likely. He currently has 15 and has 7 starts left, so it’s going to take a lot of sucktitude.

As far as your actual point, I’m sorry to tell you that it doesn’t matter at all how Zito does these last few weeks, there is no chance he will get demoted, traded, or cut.

by FluLikeSymptoms on Aug 19, 2008 2:53 PM PDT reply actions

i'm pissed

he’s earned a 20-loss season.

Oh, wait… DAMN!

Zito is going to be Zito, so I could really care less. If he loses everygame from here on out, it isn’t going to change anything. He will be in our rotation next year regardless. I am looking forward to seeing Pablo and Ishi play. That and where on your poll is every Lincecum and Cain start.

Like Barry Zito, I'm mildly half-OK.
