Has anyone played MLB Power Pros 2008?

I was thinking of getting it for the Wii, and since many of you are video game enthusiasts, I wanted to get your opinions on it, if you've played it.

I've played...

… last year’s edition/version/incarnation. It’s a pretty neat game, as it’s pretty darn in depth. The “career” mode was pretty neat (but it’s the only way to create a player for franchise mode). I would love to say the game has tons of replay value, but I thought it was too easy to fire up and play after a while. I guess I kind of lost interest.

I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I couldn’t, for the life of me, find anything that allowed me to up the difficulty. To anyone else that has played last year’s version, is there anything like that?

I agree with everything here. It could be a little more difficult. I haven’t played the previous version enough to tinker with the settings so I don’t know if you can change the difficulty.

I really want to get 2008. Hopefully I can soon.

Its awesome.

I made me in life mode, made it through the minors, hit 40 homers playing 3b for the giants, won mvp and rookie of the year honors, led the Giants to the world series…and then accidentilly deleted my game….which made me a sad panda…still, its a really fun game.

Do you have a PS2? I’m a Nintendo fanboy, but it’s a much better deal for the PS2 for essentially the same exact game, plus you get a little more mileage out of your old system.

I haven’t played it yet, but it’s got a HUGE cache of stats, and a few really worthwhile modes that you won’t find anywhere else.
