WHY DID THEY CALL HIM UP IF THEY’RE NOT GOING TO PLAY HIM EVEN AFTER HE GOT 3 HITS AUGH

by jcb9 on Aug 17, 2008 10:02 AM PDT up reply actions

Why the hell is Molina playing today?

Why isn’t Pablo catching , because he only caught 1/2 a game yesterday? Is Bochy actually that stupid? Give the kids a few days to play together…No reason why Omar should be playing at all ….Does Bochy think that the oldies will get him a few more wins? If he actually believes that then he should be fired immediately for poor judgement and if he doesn’t believe it then why not just play the kids now to see what they can do together? …Ok….Im calm now…after all …it’s Lincecum day!!!

I just thought it was amusing to find that as I was doing a Google search for Tiny Tim stuff.

that was Burriss’s homerun swing

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

Has Wilson done this multi-inning business yet this year?

Willie’s been getting alot of ground balls lately…

man, gamecast is embarrassing this umpire

2 of the 3 called balls show up as right down the middle.

I hope Wilson doesn’t only have 3 outs in him.

So maybe Wilson pitches for 2 inning saves from now on

WOOOHOO 13-3

FUCK BRANDON WEBB, I still believe in Lincecums Cy young chances!

by superk1ng on Aug 17, 2008 1:41 PM PDT reply actions

the shutout would've helped

(obviously)…but as of now his ERA’s at something like 2.60 to Peavy’s 2.61, for the league lead.

by ExcuseMeSwing on Aug 17, 2008 1:43 PM PDT up reply actions

i figure that if he gets to some arbitrary Win total, his Cy Chances improve greatly. it may be 15 wins, maybe 16.

Castillo got the DFA. Guestimate for Castillo DFA to come before the 2009 season = 2.

by kennv on Aug 17, 2008 1:44 PM PDT up reply actions

I think the key

is going to be many pitchers in the running. If it is a two person race, Webb wins easily. If there are five guys with legitimate chances it will get murkier and Tim’s Ks/ERA/Team may influence the voters.

Wilson is good

for that other Bay Area team

that think their young pitchers are better than ours.. Gio Gonzalez already 6 ER in 2+ innings

by Azmanz on Aug 17, 2008 1:45 PM PDT reply actions

I still think Gio’s going to be good. The White Sox can do dirty things like that to a youngster.

The A’s have a lot of talent, but none of their young pitchers are as good as Lincecum or Cain.

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

I’d love their young hitters though.

Exactly, deeper than the Giants but nothing like those two.

i think i would take mad bum

over their young starters though.. although i dont know about the guy they got from the dominican yet

proud father of the newly acquired Brandon Crawford..

While on the Cy Young topic...

Santana threw a three hit shutout with 7 strike outs and no walks. So don’t be forgetting about him.

by cheno on Aug 17, 2008 2:03 PM PDT reply actions

11-7 = no Cy Young (and his other stats aren’t really deserving either when compared to Tim, Webb, Haren, etc.)

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
