Another roster move
Baggarly reports that we've made another swap with Fresno, this time for a fresh arm: Geno's going down, and Matt Palmer is coming up. Apparently this was needed because we've been abusing the bullpen over the last little while. Not as exciting as yesterday, but I'm all for seeing all these new guys.
Baggs also points out that we'll need to make another move to get the 40-man back down to size prior to today's game. He makes it sound like it will not be a trade. Maybe Merkin will be put on the 60-man?

Billy Hayes: His job is better than yours.
oops, now I see what you’re saying. Sorry to usurp, Gamer101. I actually tried to take a look, but I guess I was looking at “recommended fanshots”.
Palmer? Okay…

Geno:
Wishing he was at the Olympics.
Eugeniooooooo!!!!
Yeah, they let him pitch in the big leagues...
…like he’s probably been wanting to do his whole life. What assholes.
For 2 days. Yay.
let him play in the olympics, then call him up. Now, he got to play like twice and has to sit around in the minors like he has all year. 2 days in the majors, or a few weeks in the olympics- which do you think he prefers?

2 days?
He was up for about 3 weeks and pitched in 9 games. And he’ll be back.
I’ve gotta think for a baseball player, the Olympics is definitely a consolation prize. We’re not talking swimmers or gymnasts here.

11 2/3 innings
and out the door.
Idea: If you need to shuffle the bullpen, RELEASE TYLER FUCKING WALKER
Eugeniooooooo!!!!
Nah
He did change his last name from Kinney, though. Apparently it sounded too ethnic.

hey
leftymalo asks a good question (or at least one I can’t answer): if Posey signs a major-league deal, does he immediately go on the 40-man?
uh, yeah
just noticed my “60-man” blunder in the original post. Zut alors, I think you know what I meant.
60-man DL?
I think the Mets could use one of those right about now.
