Giants Rotation Relation Sensation
The Giants rotation of Timmy, Matt, Sanchez, Zito, and Correia is good. But how good? Where do you think they rank in the league when it comes to starting pitching? Not necessarily by the stats, but by personal opinion, just how good (or freaking terrible) are they? Rank your top however-many-you-want starting rotations in baseball. What steps do they need to get that top spot? Does the currrent rotation have a chance to advance in your list? Or will Brian Sabean trade Lincecum for an aging veteran with gamer savvy?

Matt Cain...
needs to strike out more batters, walk fewer and throw harder if he wants to make it in this league. I envision a future for him scuttling between middle relief and the AAA

Future #1
I believe that a future rotation of Lincecum, Bumgarner, Cain, Sanchez and Alderson has the possibility of becoming the top rotation in the game—and possibly a rotation for the ages.
A lot has to go right, of course, including resisting the temptation to trade one or more of them, but I do believe the potential is there.
Keep in mind that Alderson is almost certainly a Top 50 prospect, and if David Price gets called up, Mad Bum could become the top southpaw prospect in all the minor leagues.
Already Lincecum appears to be the best Giants pitching prospect since Marichal and Perry, and along with Cain would seem to give the Giants their best one-two punch since the aforementioned duo. We’re talking nearly 40 years of Giants baseball in between.
Additionally, I think Mad Bum is the Giants best southpaw prospect since bonus baby Mike McCormick. In Lincecum, Bumgarner and Cain, I see possible shades of Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz. Probably not the equivalent of, but certainly serious enough shades to diffuse the glare.
Again, I should emphasize that a lot has to go right. But doesn’t the possibility seem to be there?
