Overly expensive designer jeans are my weakness, and True Religion is my favorite brand. Imagine my surprise when I saw this in their Fall 2008 email:

LOL so, it appears our highest-paid pitcher has been supplementing his income by doing a little modeling.

This only serves to prove that my pretty boy Giants calendar idea would work, and make money. If some clothing company will put expensive clothes on Zito and take pictures of him, the signficantly more attractive Giants would be even better in front of the camera.

When I was 12 or 13 I was at the Marin County Fair, hanging out with friends and riding the Barf-o-Tron thing with upside cages. At one point I was goofing around trying on sunglasses at a vendor’s booth, and I saw Novello standing next to me. He laughed at one particularly silly pair and said in his Father Guido accent, “Those glasses look-a really good on you.”
