McCoven Get-Together at McCovey's: Now with PICTURES!
Here is the previous post about arrangements, but basically, here's the deal:
- Some McCovenites are meeting at 7pm at McCovey's in Walnut Creek to break bread, share stories, and watch Tim Lincecum dismantle the San Diego Padres.
- Everyone's welcome, dates and mates and offspring included.
- There's a reservation under the name Josh Burnett.
- I'm gonna try and find some nametags to bring. (This isn't my first Internerd get-together, unfortunately, and I've found it's helpful to have nametags w/ both screenname and real name. I'm a dork!!)
- If the Baron doesn't make an appearance, this whole thing will have been a complete failure.
See you all tonight!

Have fun guys
On a whim the new ladyfriend and I are going to Pt Reyes for her birthday weekend, but I’ll be there in spirit – definitely will try to make the annual night coming up at the park..
Consume much food (meat if you eat it, cheese if you don’t), libations (for which i have a profound fondness), and have fun!
Tentatively adopting Dan Ortmeier. And Boom Goes the Dynamite.
I arranged a last minute grandmother-sitter so I’ll be there.

Wish I could be there
but, like the night at the yard, not having a job makes stuff like that tough. Have a great time.
Giants! Giants! HELP US GOD!
I also like how if you select ‘No’ to “Exposed to D&D at an early age” it goes straight to sunlight and then to girls.
Awesome.

I mentioned this on the last fanpost, but my wife and I will be late, as we have to wait on my grandmother getting over to Oakland from The City so she can watch our kid. Hopefully we’ll be there by around 7:30. I would say, “and hopefully the game won’t be out of reach by then,” but it’s a Lincecum day, so that won’t happen until the bullpen comes in.
same here
crazy wife has trapeze class until 6:30; i put our arrival at about 7:30.

sounds fun
too much I-80 between me and Walnut Creek, though.
We should do a Sacramento McCoven get together sometime.
you can't block the Bocock
We are planning on driving in from Sac.
Depending on when the “other half” gets out of work.
We had talked – very briefly- about maybe doing something in Sac over Labor Day weekend when the Grizzlies are in town playing the Rivercats.
We should post this idea up when the game gets a little closer.....
Would be fun to catch a game in Sactown

Agreed on the Sacramento idea. That is one I can make it to.

6:56 is when it's supposed to arrive
I’m just worried I’m going to be too tired/sick to go! yk? But, might as well try it. I guess if you don’t see me when the train pulls out you can continue on your way assuming I haven’t made it. Which is suboptimal but if there is no texting that’s prolly the best way. j-dizzle can drop me off at West Portal so I can get trains from there.
