my daughter watches a program every morning before school called “Yo Gabba Gabba.” In it Biz Markee gives a “beat of the day,” every day. Really random and really weird. My two-year-old seems to dig it though.

I’ve been writing at least 200 words a week of original fiction for about the last month!
I know that 200 words a week is NOTHING, but after a year and a half of acting like I was just going to one day sit down and write 30,000 words… it was a necessary baby step.

Bitching and moaning about offense
I’ve been reading or hearing (on KNBR, Duman Bruce) about how bad the Giants offense is. And it is bad, in its inconsistencies, but they have been better lately. However, you can only do so much when the shortstop is such a big hole offensively. That’s probably costing us close to half a run a game, even the best teams will find it hard with any starter with stats that bad in your lineup.
How about tipping your hat to Johan Santana, the best pitcher in the majors? How about acknowledging that Pelfrey has been on a great run against teams for 8 starts now, it is not just the Giants having trouble scoring runs off of him lately. If you are knowledgeable about baseball, you would know the Giants would have trouble scoring off these guys. I can understand under estimating what Pelfrey could do, but Johan Santana?
If you are a radio host and you don’t know who Johan Santana is and how good he is, well, he needs to go to remedial sports radio hosting classes. It is OK to have an attitude if you know what you are talking about. To do otherwise is insulting and, worse, aggravating and boring.
