Wow,
I left for a bike ride for 30 mins, figuring a 5-3 lead was relatively safe…
I hate the Giants…

You didn't figure on Bochy
going into a self-induced coma
Not really
He hasn’t had one for quite a while.
Hey, I’m good luck. I’m not leaving again, don’t worry.

It’s a good thing Bochy didn’t bring Alex in earlier! He wouldn’t have been able to save him to strike out Jones!
Ethier batting 167 vs lefties, Russell Martin 247 vs lefties
Horrible managing by Bochy. Even if Ethier gets a hit, Russell Martin doesn’t hit lefties that well either. It’s so obvious Bochy never looks at these stats while managing.
Bochy tried to save his arms
for Zito’s catastrophe tomorrow
Awesome call
There have been 200-odd pitches thrown in this game and that’s the first time that one has been a strike.

he’s got a 108 OPS+, yeah I’d like to have him be traded by the end of July, but I see nothing about his performance worth bitching about
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
it's not his performance that bothers me
he’s a constant reminder of the way Sabean does business.
Hell, he might be a prince of a guy for all I know.
ah, he'll be on the team after the deadline
just like fucking Omar will be, and that stupid motherfucker will keep running both of those fucking guys out there so we will enter spring training next year not knowing anything about any of our young players.
WHY AM I STILL WATCHING THIS GAME
Proud member of the Adopt-a-Giant program (Aaron Rowand)
HOLY CHRIST LEWIS WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU RIGHT NOW??
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
yeah, Dave Roberts is coming back
of course, that means less time for Lewis. When you have those vets, you just have to play ‘em; it’s like Omar, he’ll be coming out of his slump in no time.
Good Thing
We got our ace/stopper going tomorrow
On a related note:
Uranus and Neptune are still circling the sun in cold, dark orbits
why wouldn't walking the bases loaded be a good idea?
I mean, our pitchers have been so consistent in pounding the strike zone today.
how can our pitchers not get Laroche out?
Christ, the guy’s hitting at near the Vizquel line.
WOW LOOK AT THAT BOCHY! THATS WHY YOU SHOULD'VE BROUGHT IN HINSHAW...
TO FACE ETHIER LAST INNING… MORON
HE THREW THREE WHOLE PITCHES YESTERDAY!
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
I don't know if Bonehead
understands or will ever understand that everything he did with Matos in the sixth was wrong, wrong, wrong.
Wil..It's true
But Osiris was in a jam not wholly of his own making. He made his debut last night. You just take a rook out of those bad spots, because veteran teams will likely get to him.
Bochy's been doing okay with his moves
But just took a vacation today. It’s infuriating
Good sign, tho
Lewis did not try to hit the five-run homer to atone.
Patient atbat, at any rate.

Amen to that….I’ve got me a new PS3 to break in over the holiday weekend.
Cheers!

Unfortunately
the Dodgers lit up the sky today
He's cramming all the bad
into one Independence Day Explosion
For months he's been fairly competent
But that, too, was catchable for a good left fielder.
Is that four mischances in one game for FLew?
Now I’m going to have to start getting all sensitive and defensive on Fred’s behalf. :(
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
He's a modest guy, so it's hard to be critical
The good far outweighs the bad with our friend Freddie

I'm not buying it....
YourSFGiants….keeping you into the game with the smallest strand of hope….

gameday says matos gave up 5 runs but none earned!?! Mistake right?
I am Cameron Wood and this is my son and business partner CW Culberson.
Still don't get it. Wouldn'that just take that one batter off his ER total?

I am incensed that Omar popped out. My girlfriend is incensed that it looks like he cut his shirt to 3/4 length by himself, leaving ragged edges. (“WTF, MLB needs to do something about this; don’t they have a tailor?!”)

Wilson in a non-save situation...
This could get ugly.
Ballgame BITCHES….
Fuck this team, their manager, and the GM!
Adoptive papa to Omar...so basically I'm screwed.
Zito could bestow the gift
as early as tomorrow
never in a million years
of course, it may not end up being a save situation anyway!
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
But first in the hearts of his countrymen...
for meritorious service in preceding years
i'd like to award 1.5 losses to home plate Ump Mike Riley
sure he called some shit calls on both teams,
but I swear to god Sanchez got out of that 2-run third inning like 3 different times.
If Jon doesn’t throw 33pitches that inning, he stays in the game longer…

Those flag caps are like the opposite of the Gigantes jerseys in terms of positive karma. I hope we never see them again.
Yeah happy birthday and stuff.

Pardon my French
I was at the game today and man. Was that a depressing piece of shit game.
Fred’s error was godawful, and the “assist” he got on the botched catch…Jesus. I won’t vituperate him because he’s done a lot of good this season and thankfully those miscues were the only really shitty things he’s done in 2008. I’m not saying I’m not upset with him about today’s game.
Matos is in a similar boat. Yes, he pitched like megacrap. But he was left out there to expire and that was complete bullshit. Complete. What is the point of a baseball manager if he doesn’t MANAGE the game? Bochy is a fucking farce.
Wilson pretty much wrote his name in ink on my shit list. I don’t care if that was a mop up appearance, don’t give up home runs. You’re the closer, so stop fucking up.
Jonathan was bleh, but I saw that one coming. His pitch count was high and that was frustrating, but he basically nutted up and got through the bad stretches. I could see his fortitude coming through in that.
It was frustrating because I missed a lot of the game, too. I stayed parked in my seat the whole time. It was just all the idiots who don’t grasp the concept of sitting the F down and not loitering around in front of people who are trying to watch the game. Damn near every at bat in the first four innings I missed at least one pitch. What a bunch of bullshit.

man, I hate it when people just get up and down and up and down the whole game.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
Also
I was pretty annoyed at the Dugout store today. I wanted to buy myself a Sanchez shirt. They don’t make Sanchez shirts in women’s sizes, which is weird because Jonathan is popular with the ladies, and all the omg hottiez!!!2 have shirts in the women’s sizes; Lowry, Frandsen et al. Hey even Tim has girl’s shirts now. So I went over to the men’s section because I can wear a small (my Tim shirt is a small men’s, for example) and they only had Medium for Sanchez. Balls.
In the men’s shirts, I saw that they had Eugenio Velez (wtf) and no Fred Lewis. None! They have John Bowker, but no Fred. I like Bowker and I picked one up for a friend, but come on. I still like Velez, but come on. Fred Lewis doesn’t have a damn shirt for me to wear? The guy who’s been a surprise and exciting and fun for Giants fans all year doesn’t get a shirt?
I did get a shirt that says DAD and has the number 1. I got it for my dad (omg rly?) because I think he’ll like it a lot.
