Wow,
I left for a bike ride for 30 mins, figuring a 5-3 lead was relatively safe…
I hate the Giants…

There’s a Hummer in my neighborhood. Used to have a Giuliani for President bumper sticker. Last time I walked by, that sticker was covered up with one advocating domestic offshore drilling. BRILLIANT.

Bochy Un-managed the Giants and fans right out of the game
by Moggeee on Jul 4, 2008 3:10 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
He was too busy taking sips of Gatorade and spitting it out on the floor to take Matos out.

It’s a good thing Bochy didn’t bring Alex in earlier! He wouldn’t have been able to save him to strike out Jones!

Ethier batting 167 vs lefties, Russell Martin 247 vs lefties
Horrible managing by Bochy. Even if Ethier gets a hit, Russell Martin doesn’t hit lefties that well either. It’s so obvious Bochy never looks at these stats while managing.

The mystery of David B. Flemming's middle initial revealed

A few years ago – in Flemming’s first season, I think – the rest of the announcers learned that, and they all called him David Braxton Flemming for some time. It was a big running joke for a while.

Pardon my French
I was at the game today and man. Was that a depressing piece of shit game.
Fred’s error was godawful, and the “assist” he got on the botched catch…Jesus. I won’t vituperate him because he’s done a lot of good this season and thankfully those miscues were the only really shitty things he’s done in 2008. I’m not saying I’m not upset with him about today’s game.
Matos is in a similar boat. Yes, he pitched like megacrap. But he was left out there to expire and that was complete bullshit. Complete. What is the point of a baseball manager if he doesn’t MANAGE the game? Bochy is a fucking farce.
Wilson pretty much wrote his name in ink on my shit list. I don’t care if that was a mop up appearance, don’t give up home runs. You’re the closer, so stop fucking up.
Jonathan was bleh, but I saw that one coming. His pitch count was high and that was frustrating, but he basically nutted up and got through the bad stretches. I could see his fortitude coming through in that.
It was frustrating because I missed a lot of the game, too. I stayed parked in my seat the whole time. It was just all the idiots who don’t grasp the concept of sitting the F down and not loitering around in front of people who are trying to watch the game. Damn near every at bat in the first four innings I missed at least one pitch. What a bunch of bullshit.

man, I hate it when people just get up and down and up and down the whole game.

Also
I was pretty annoyed at the Dugout store today. I wanted to buy myself a Sanchez shirt. They don’t make Sanchez shirts in women’s sizes, which is weird because Jonathan is popular with the ladies, and all the omg hottiez!!!2 have shirts in the women’s sizes; Lowry, Frandsen et al. Hey even Tim has girl’s shirts now. So I went over to the men’s section because I can wear a small (my Tim shirt is a small men’s, for example) and they only had Medium for Sanchez. Balls.
In the men’s shirts, I saw that they had Eugenio Velez (wtf) and no Fred Lewis. None! They have John Bowker, but no Fred. I like Bowker and I picked one up for a friend, but come on. I still like Velez, but come on. Fred Lewis doesn’t have a damn shirt for me to wear? The guy who’s been a surprise and exciting and fun for Giants fans all year doesn’t get a shirt?
I did get a shirt that says DAD and has the number 1. I got it for my dad (omg rly?) because I think he’ll like it a lot.
