my favorite chant
i donno how it actually originated, and even if theres legit proof boston started it while playing the lakers in a champ game.. i will always believe we (as in giants fans before i was born) started it

Wore my 'Beat LA' shirt all day
I miss the days when the ‘Stick used to rock when all 60,000+ would get into it.
On a slight random note, I’m disappointed that Pedro Feliz’s grand slam on 9/25/04 doesn’t get much love during the whole “storied rivalry” thing. Jon Miller’s call still gives me goosebumps.
Sure the Giants missed the playoffs that year (with that whole Steve Finley thing), but the only times I’ve loved sports more were: After Game 5 of the 2002 WS, Young to Owens to beat the Packers, and #756.
Tim Lincecum is Baseball's Chuck Norris
Seriously
That was one of the best moments of ‘04. It’s a shame they ended that season early and didn’t have playoffs.
Yes! As many good vibes to Matty as possible. Go Giants!
Matt Cain: throwing complete game shutouts since 06'. No big deal.

Giants! Giants! HELP US GOD!
He has been
he just noted that he was going to try to get Roberts into the lineup more often in his pregame interview on the radio.
Giants! Giants! HELP US GOD!
I heard that too...
...shouldn’t Rowand or Winn get a day off once in awhile too? Why does it have to be Roberts for Lewis?
Also, Hank Blalock went on the DL today, which precludes the possibility of us trading for him at the deadline. Yay.
Rule?
Is there a rule that prohibits teams from trading players on the DL?
It’s not like we’re going anywhere this year, and he’d be a helluva upgrade over Castillo, er… Richie.
Tim Lincecum is Baseball's Chuck Norris
Not really an upgrade
Blalock on the road, 2005-2007: .244, .296 OBP, .373 SLG
Blalock on the road, 2008: .256, .301 OBP, .295 SLG
Castillo, 2008: .261, .312 OBP, .410 SLG
And yes, you can trade players on the DL. We did that with Kurt Ainsworth a few years ago at the deadline. But it makes it a lot less likely.
Oops
That should be a .395 SLG for Blalock on the road this year, not .295. He ain’t THAT bad away from Arlington.
you're right
even Agent Ned wouldn’t make a horribly one-sided trade like that

Why the Hell is Burriss on the Team?
4 at-bats a week is not really helping him develop, just like 1 at-bat a week didn’t help Denker. God they (Boch + Sabes) are incompetent.
im blaming this all on bochy
i want to like sabien.. i feel like hes gonna be around for awhile
proud father of the newly acquired Brandon Crawford..
They both said Burriss was taking over at SS
But said not for a week, presumably to showcase Omar, but I don’t think there are any takers. Then they said if Omar starts hitting again, they’d reconsider. Why would that matter! Even if he hits, we still suck!
Cubs are up 6-0 on the Brew crew

worst game i ever saw featured jason johnson
it was sox-yanks at fenway (i used to live in boston) and it was making up a game that had been rained out in april. so instead of getting to see schilling face wang, we got jason johnson. johnny damon homered to lead off the game and the yanks won something like 15 to 9.
You know, if the gun has Jason Johnson at 94 and Cain at only 90… I might actually be a bit worried D:
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
He seems to be throwing offspeed stuff a lot over the past couple of starts. His velo is definitely down. PFX has him at topping out at 92, which is better than the TV gun on my broadcast which keeps showing 88.
92, I’m not that worried.
If he’s actually in the 80s, that’s a bit D:
