Yeah, if I were traded from the Mariners to the Indians, I might keep my house in Seattle.

Parts of NE Ohio are actually quite nice.

by rotorueter on Jul 27, 2008 2:46 PM PDT up reply actions

To be fair, my experience of Ohio is limited to driving through it on I-80 and passing through on Amtrak.

And also, Seattle’s one of my favorite cities.

There are plenty of sucky areas in Cleveland, but if you’re making Omar Vizquel money, you can find great places to live. I wouldn’t recommend it for the rest of us though.

Granted, Jefferson was a pretty good hitter, but he didn’t even play a full season with the Mariners.

I’m pretty sure there’s a touch of sarcasm in that.

YESS

finally we get to go on the road which is the giants real “home”

Giants’ pitchers walked nine, Arizona pitchers walked zero. Did anyone on the team ever hear the expression ” a walk is as good as a hit?”

well

well the giants think walking is like getting out. they always swing at a 3-1 pitch even if it is way out of the strike zone (castillo)

Fucking Sabean

Give me something after this disgraceful series, Brian. Release some veteran, make some trade. Bring up some kid. Fire your manager. Give me something if you want me out there watching tomorrow, Brian. You listening??

Sabes next target...
Yankees designated RHP LaTroy Hawkins for assignment.
That the Yankees thought Hawkins would be a useful reliever in the AL East was a big error in judgment, albeit one with relatively few consequences. They didn’t have to use him in many close games with other relievers stepping up, and the $3.75 million they spent on him was merely a drop in the bucket. Hawkins could go back to the NL and reemerge as a useful sixth or seventh inning guy.

Adopted Giant Brian Wilson: One of the few reasons to watch this year.

omg, I can totally see Sabes saying, “Hawkins, Walker and Wilson give us a real shutdown end-of-game combo.”
