Good gravy, Haren's been nasty this year. That sound you hear is that of the Giants being retired in order again and again, like waves calmly lapping against a sandy beach.
You might remember a charity event from last year that allowed you to get closer to Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum than you could ever get just by rooting through their trash. The event is back, so if you missed out the first time, you have another chance on Wednesday, August 6th.
I'll try and give you another heads up as it gets closer to the date.

That lineup frightens me
I wonder if it frightens the Dbacks.
When Bochy brought out the lineup card, I swear I heard giggling from the umpire and in the Dback dugout.
He probably did it with such swagger that everyone was speechless. This lineup just oozes swagger and savvy, although a touch of Dave Roberts would put it over the edge.

I knew they’d be bad, but whenever i’ve become hopefuly/optimistic about this team this season, it seems that they’ve gone into the absolute doldrums.
whenever i’ve counted them out and felt like they’ve committed to conceding the season, they find a spark.
i think we take one from the DBacks this series.
Just not the one tonight.
Isn’t it sad when our expectations are to take just one in a series? (And yes, that would be my greatest hope, too).
