Rally Dwight

Someone may have posted this before, but it's a fact:

Diamondback fans HATE Randy Winn.

Though a lot of the damage has been done at Chase field, Randy has put up a pretty awesome .352/.406/.597 line against them over the last 3 years. (Though that's nothing compared to the unholy terror he has inflicted upon the Astros pitching corps).

I just find it fun that the Giants have a player that torments another franchise the way that say, Scott Hairston or Steve Finley torment us.

I remember reading some Snakepit Gameday threads filled with Winn loathing. It’s rather amusing.

Wow, that is weird

I mean, he has hit well against them, but their hatred seems to go beyond that (surely other players have too). It seems almost like Victorino for Giants fans.

Besides, Winn is one of the least hateable players on the giants. He’s pretty bland – what does he do that annoys people?

I’m always saying that Randy Winn is pretty much the most boring baseball player in the MLB. I like him, but bland is the right word.

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

"Where did you get that Blank expression"

I posted that to general confusion – mostly , I think , because of the way the post showed up. As I said then I think what Skins did was no more than good natured fun – it’s not hate. More like annoyance…but you all make of it what you will.

Now Russ Ortiz , OTOH...

Right you are, Vic.

I’m the Godfather of Randy WInn-hating—and even I don’t really hate Winn.

It’s just a way to express frustration at the way he demolishes our pitching.

Besides…. this is the bastard who gave Vlad the Impaler his first sharpened stake…....

me too

But I also have other reasons (excuses?) for hating them besides them hitting really well against us. Hairston, aside from just hitting so many walkoff/game tying/generally frustrating homers, had that time where he showed up Cain with his bat flip. Victorino had the game where he pulled that bs play in timmy’s first start.

Lisa has an SM58 in her face

but it doesn’t look like Randy has a mic at all.

It took me a second to realize that SM58 was a type of mic...

I was trying to figure out what SM58 meant. I figured it was going to be something completly different.

yeah, I assumed I was totally missing some weird sexual refrence.

Seems like they only do that with me, here.

Actually it’s the worst timing ever for the jokes. Usually I’m good at running with it and would like to continue with running with it, but it’s sort of making me look bad lately.

I thought it was cute how much effort was put in to the post though. . .I mean, newspaper articles, stats, splits v sf, v wn, etc. . . .I was hoping to see some agony, but maybe we’re all sadists sticking with this team? Or perhaps because we’re still contenders?? Right?

I don’t get it. Randy and Steve Nash are BFF. Don’t Suns fans think Steve Nash is Jesus?

I’m kind of hoping it was their coach that was Jesus. He’s now coaching my pathetic NY Knicks and we are definitely in need of divine intervention. Then again as a Jew, should I even be talking like this??

I’m thinking it was Bryan Colangelo + Mike D’Antoni.

Speed, defense... and an almost fanatical devotion to getting picked off.
