Do well Kevin!

I’m predicting he goes 6 innings, 2 earned runs, 7 H’s, 6 K’s, 3 BB’s.

Just call me Xiefrank.

I blame Bochy for not implementing this strategy earlier.

Are you going to break his legs?

by xanthan on Jul 23, 2008 6:37 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

bochy said yesterday that Omar would be a bench player the rest of the season. Funny how he’s started both games since he’s said that.

by superk1ng on Jul 23, 2008 6:36 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That’s what drives me crazy, they said about a month ago that he would see less playing time.

by xanthan on Jul 23, 2008 6:37 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It was actually that he would be a bench player after next week (i.e., after the non-waiver trade deadline).

So check back Aug 1 to see who’s starting.

It's my blarg! Quick Pitch

by can of corn on Jul 23, 2008 6:48 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

but HOW will Omar EVER break out of this career-worst slump if we just bench him?!

by ExcuseMeSwing on Jul 23, 2008 6:57 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Seriously

Why are we waiting til next week to reduce Omar’s playing time? It’s not like he is going to increase his trade value in a week.

by Lars The Wanderer on Jul 23, 2008 7:00 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

The idea that the trade deadline is relevant to Vizquel amuses me greatly. Who the hell would claim him on waivers after the deadline if we wanted to trade him then!? And if they did claim him, we could just let them have him anyway, which isn’t a bad thing.

Fred is awesome. Lot’s of great tunes. I listen to 43 (XMU) on occasion and the 70’s Channel a good bit. The MLB coverage is pretty decent. The Show with Rob Dibble and Kevin Kennedy kinda sucks but it’s nice to be able to hear games no matter where you are.

by CB30 on Jul 23, 2008 7:13 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Instead of releasing him, why doesn’t he get injured … and then they keep him on as an instructional type coach? They were saying that the team now takes infield regularly, I bet he’d make a great coach.

by Merope on Jul 23, 2008 7:14 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Also it’s really refreshing to hear a parent say that. Everyone’s used to me saying “bleh babies” cos I don’t want ‘em, but when a parent can say, “yeah guys knock it off your baby is not cute” that makes me happy.
