trade cain

y does cain have to keep going thru this shit over and over. pitching great and keep losing.

trade him to a good squad and get some value back and it would be a good thing for us and cain. cain doesnt deserve to be on a team that hits a home run every other month

no

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

How about instead of trading Cain for the sake of him being on a good team, we actually try to build a good team of our own? It’s just crazy enough to work.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:09 PM PDT up reply actions

I’m just afraid that when his contract is up, he’ll be outta here so fast, there’ll be a sonic boom.

by Merope on Jul 19, 2008 9:13 AM PDT up reply actions

we are contenders

as long as we are in the NL west keep thinking we are contenders

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:09 PM PDT reply actions

I’m thinking they’ve got a better chance at being bartenders

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:11 PM PDT up reply actions

i wish

JCB9, hey as long as we have brian sabean forget about building a good team around cain. brian sabean should first trade greg papa for a pack of gum

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:11 PM PDT reply actions

First, the reply button is your friend. Second, I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone here is fully aware of Sabean’s stupidity.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:16 PM PDT up reply actions

jcb9

yes they are aware how stupid he is but its funny how he hasnt changed at all and contunied to be stupid

he might be right about Sabean’s contunuing stoopidity.

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:21 PM PDT up reply actions

i just dont understand

do the giants know that 4 balls isnt a out? because everytime they get on a 3 ball count they looked confused

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:23 PM PDT up reply actions

Or, as Sabean says

they’re fulled with confisuon

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:24 PM PDT up reply actions

haha

haha my spelling might be as bad as the giants offense

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:21 PM PDT up reply actions

or as bad as Brian Sabean’s team building skills!

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

by jponry on Jul 18, 2008 10:26 PM PDT up reply actions

sabean sucks

i swear i have never seen no one as bad as sabean. i mean how did we start with him in the first place and y he come back

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:28 PM PDT up reply actions

Our last GM, Bob Quinn, signed Terry Mulholland as our ace starter – a year after he posted an ERA of 6.49 with the Yankees.

There was a time when Sabean made some pretty damn good moves. That ended years ago, however.

slugging giants???

haha i was just watching sportscenter and they were doing there titletown on San Fran, and they said San Fran is the home of the Slugging Giants…. yea right more like the slug giants

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:12 PM PDT reply actions

It's Within Reach!

Gigantics can go 22-44 the rest of the way and reach a dubious 100!

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:28 PM PDT reply actions

5-61

giants can go 5-61 the rest of the way and we will still not be last in the NL west

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:31 PM PDT up reply actions

would be difficult...

Non-contending teams’ records usually take a down-turn in September when they call up and use players who aren’t ready for MLB play. Since we’ve already done that, our .417 winning percentage probably reflects our true talent level.

Fred Lewis can stand under my umbrella.

Noncontending Giants’ last eight = 1-7

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:37 PM PDT up reply actions

Yep, we’re headed for a big drop-off in production once Vizquel, Zito, and Castillo are riding the bench!

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:37 PM PDT up reply actions

April call-ups, in our case. Yes, Brian Bocock, I’m looking at you.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:39 PM PDT up reply actions

That's just cruel

Bocock was over-matched; entirely not his fault.

Fred Lewis can stand under my umbrella.

by S.F. Giangst on Jul 18, 2008 10:43 PM PDT up reply actions

Kinda my point. Calling up overmatched players in April, like most non-contenders do in September.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:44 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah, the organizational thinking was… Unpossible.

Why in the world didn’t they find an actual AAA shortstop on the scrap-heap somewhere once Omar broke? Not that it would have gotten us much more than an extra win or two probably, but still… It shows you that the lights are on but nobody’s home.

Fred Lewis can stand under my umbrella.

by S.F. Giangst on Jul 18, 2008 10:49 PM PDT up reply actions

Oh, I disagree. The lights are on, and somebody IS home

yea but i guess kuiper had to take a day off because he is getting stress out about giants losing

by giants916 on Jul 18, 2008 10:45 PM PDT up reply actions

Nah, just a reference to both pitchers having more home runs this year that Kuiper had in his career.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:45 PM PDT up reply actions

Although now I can’t remember who was on radio with Flemming. Which is funny, because I listened to a lot of the game on the radio. I need to get more sleep.

by jcb9 on Jul 18, 2008 10:46 PM PDT up reply actions

Papa

is it just me or does Greg Papa get excited over everything the giants do despite the score. because he sounded awfully excited when winn got a single in the 9th of a 9 to 1 game

that would be a standing “Oh!”

by Moggeee on Jul 18, 2008 10:45 PM PDT up reply actions

And the Dodgers are about to beat Arizona in 11

Unfortunately, I suspect the Dodgers will end up winning this pathetic division. Just watch them have a sub-.500 record and win the World Series anyway.

yea just watch them go 22 and 44 the rest of the way and win the division

so y is it when there is a fox game on the giants game never on T.V.??

Because FOX paid lots of money to make it that way.

Because FOX thinks everybody would rather see the Yankees and RedSox. They used to show regional games. This week I see they consider Sux v. Angels our regional game. Whatta surprise.
