“The Giants’ right-hander didn’t show at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, having spent much of the day getting treated for flu-like symptoms and dehydration.”

and

“Padres manager Bud Black, an NL coach, confirmed Lincecum wouldn’t have pitched in the game, anyway, because he pitched Sunday, same as Brandon Webb of the Diamondbacks. Black did say they might have been used in extra innings.

“I think Lincecum had the 15th,” Black joked.”

But with idiots like this running MLB, they might want to consider allowing players to sub in and out of All-Star games.

This is insane

It’s hard to be a National League fan. After fifteen innings of massively biased officiating and commentary, this ends the way we all knew it would. I’m not even going to pretend that the NL is as good as the AL at this moment; it’s just that they get every call and every break, and they have for a decade.
