People's lives are ruined daily , this guy survived - and thrives.
I have this running battle with Jim McClennan , the “Grant” of AZ Snakepit over whether to give Hamilton kudos – he’s just down on him and I prop him up.
Read the SI article on Hamilton – while SI articles are usually pretty kissass – and this is no exception – there’s grim reality to deal with. Addiction is for life , and we’re ALL going to know if Hamilton fails. I , for one , hope he never does.

Good for him
there are plenty of other people going through exactly the same thing, they just can’t hit baseballs 500 feet, so somehow their plight is less important.
Srlsy, fuck off, Hamilton. I hope the dude stays off the smack, but I’m sick of having it shoved down my throat.

He has this way of saying things that really irritates me. I can’t explain it. They’ll be showing a clip of a game on BBTN and he’ll say something about one of the players and it’ll just make me want to reach into the television and punch him in the face. AND HE ALWAYS DOES IT.
It’ll be like, so-and-so hits a double and he’ll say, in this really weird condescending voice, “Not many people are noticing, but so-and-so is having a really great year”. If you watch BBTN and listen to what Kurkjian says during the highlights you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Also, he’s obsessed with stupid split stats and random trivia.

No,
something is wrong with TV. I’m a young person, and I watch nothing but live sports, the office, and Top Gear. TV effing sucks now.
Also: ESPN single-handedly ruined the best weekly NFL broadcast the second they took over MNF. SNF w/ Micheals is the new MNF.
Wow, a lot of ESPN hate from me tonight. All that Hamilton sack sucking really wore on me at the gym.

He was in 2005, when they did the country format. They did that to generate interest for the upcoming WBC.
He was the only Korean position player in MLB at the time. So he was picked.
